air temperatures right now. we're looking down on the slopes. they are making plenty of snow. it's 6 degrees. things to keep in mind. the drips of faucets. could be pipes bursting if you don't take the precautions. wear plenty of layers. check on pets and those that are elderly. they are susceptible as well. those pets need plenty of water and blankets if they are outside. keep in mind, we already had schools starting later tomorrow because of the cold. we'll have those on screen for you. windchill advisory, 6:00. they go until noon tomorrow, 5 to 15 degrees below 0 for windchills in a lot of these areas. we're already seeing windchills close to 0 at asheville and they'll continue to drop off here. we'll see about 5 to 10 below in the morning.

if you don't have much wind, we'll still get down into the single digits in a lot of places. 70 degrees. teens as far south as henderson county. breezy at times. that puts the windchills again 0 to 7 below to start the day. 20s by the lunch hour. morning flare in the upstate. teens in the morning. windchills about 10 to 15 degrees with less wind down there, won't have as big of an affect. then we'll talk about snow. there are several chances of snow in the forecast. and all the details coming up on that in just a bit. >> darcel: developing tonight, deputies are searching for two men who held a gun to a store clerk's head. >> larry: happening a convenience store robbery. where did it happen, frank? store. this is the second robbery there

this latest one happened friday night at 9:15 and it was all caught on camera. >> how are you today? i didn't want to come to work today. but i have a job. >> that job became a dangerous one for crystal smith when two men forced her behind the counter and demanded cash. >> i'm not really good with authority. i do not like being told what to do. but it went through my head they could kill me. if they are going to kill me, i'm not going to let them take medown'sy. they wanted me to bag the money. i told them to get it themselves. he had to fumble around and hold the gun to me. i wouldn't get down on my knees either. he had to hold me down on my knees. >> we've never ever had this problem in this area. >> neighbors were stopping in today shocked by what happened

the number is 828-452-6768. reporting live, news13. >> another robbery. this one in asheville. three men in masks robbed the golden diamond connection at gunpoint. the group got away with between 350 to $400,000 in jewelry. they were last seen in a black jeep. if you have any information, call police.e. new tonight, a number of fire departments battled a blaze in maggie valley. happened before 5:00 this evening. that's near soko drive. the fire department tells us the structure was a commercial garage with housing attached. everyone made it out safely. it took a number of fire departments hours to put out the blaze and deal with hot spots. firefighters are working to figure out what caused it. >> washington put ahold on money collected in drug seizures.

>> jason: several things to watch here this week. several storms that could bring snowfall back to the forecast. social media chatter all over the place about this. believe you me, this is nothing to write in stone at this point. and it's nothing to really say specifically what's going to happen. it's just too early. you cannot say the amount of accumulations in terms of snowfall. there's uncertainty. and certainly picked up here. 50% rain snow by wednesday. again not likely but better chances. 40% chance of rain snow thursday and still looking like friday. 70% chance of rain and snow. some places are going to have all snow. and that's the highest elevation. come friday, a big deal in the mount ans.

70% chance of the snow. 50% chance of a wintery mix thursday. and friday is the bull's-eye for snow. 15 degrees in asheville. windchill dropped 3 degrees. so here's our storm time line. several system will follow this kind of a track here. weak ones at first. and then the big punch is coming by friday. we'll watch it come out of the rockies, move eastward. and there you go, this track somewhere between i-85 and i-20 would put us in the bull's-eye. thinking it's going to be a little farther north of that. that puts rain and snow mix into the equation. most of the mountains will get snow. that's why the accumulations will be there. a lot to watch and still the idea we're looking at better

be prepared for a changing forecast which will likely happen here. overnight tonight and into wednesday, clouds coming our way. here's that skip of snow. wednesday day break. mostly west of i-26. could see a light coating of snowfall before the day's through on wednesday. a couple inches at least here. see the smokies right there? could be as much as a couple inches there. tonight is the cold. it's going to be cold. 20s and 30s tomorrow for the mountains. 40s in some places. our temperatures will warm a bit. mostly rain event if we see anything thursday.
