3 happening today... a pre-trial motions hearing is scheduled for four police officers charged in the death of freddie gray. the judge will hear a motion to strike down a court order demanding testimony from a fifth officer, william porter. porter's trial ended in december with a mistrial. he will be tried again in june. 3 3 3 new this morning... the u-s coast guard suspends the search for 12 marines who have been missing since two helicopters crashed off hawaii. one of those marines was from woodruff, south carolina... sergeant jeffrey sempler. the two helicopters crashed last thursday. the coast guard says it was not an easy decision to stop the search. 3 18-35 "the decision to suspend this case, the searches is very difficult. we have not found survivors and this has a significant scope and impact stoppingngur search efforts."3 crews searched more than 40- thousand miles of ocean. any additional searches in the

to the marine corps. 3 3 also new this morning... a local brewery is sending fresh water to residents in flint, michigan. oskar blues in brevard and ball corp have sent 50-thousand cans of water. there is more on the way. this comes after flint's water became contaminated after the city switched water systems to save money. oskar blues previously sent water to victims of flooding in south carolina and tornado victims in texas. 3 3 michigan governor rick snyder apologized to the people of flint for their water crisis during his state of the state address. snyder pledged to find a solution to the problem. ((stop)) 3 1- 13 "government failed you. federal, state and local leaders, by breaking the trust you've placed in us. i'm sorry most of all that i let you down. you deserve better."3 hundreds of flint residents are suing the state over health problems caused by the water. 3 3 3 this morning... investigators are trying to figure out who made threats of violence to

states. the threats affected more than two-dozens schools in new jersey, massachusetts, delaware, maryland and pennsylvania yesterday. none of the threats was considered valid, but some schools still evacuated, while others went on lockdown. police say the schools received what appear to be robocalls, threatening with mass shootings or bomb attacks. 3 "it's my understanding the calls were made last night and schools systems came in this morning and the retrieved voice messages." officials say some of the calls were traced to bakersfield, california. 3 3 mexican druglord "el chapo" is under heavy surveillance while at a maximum-security prison. a leading mexican news organization says prison guards are wearing helmet cams in his cell... videotaping him at all times. there are also another 400 fixed cameras on him. the prison is also using guard dogs trained to detect his scent. el chapo broke out of the same prison last year, and was just re-captured just two weeks ago. 3 3 a student volunteer for republican presidential

beat right wing republicans.' if you want somebody who is going to beat donald trump, who is going to beat the other republicans, i think bernie sanders is that candidate." i'm reid binion, reporting 3 3 sarah palin's 26-year-old son was arrested on charges of domestic violence monday night in alaska. according to the arrest report, track palin punched and kicked his girlfriend, then held an assault rifle near his head. the incident happened at the home of the former governor. track palin was charged with assault on a female, among other things. he was arraigned yesterday afternoon and released after posting bail. 3 3 some flood victims in south carolina got much-needed help, thanks to a christmas gift mix-up. it started when a farmer's wife ordered new shoes for her husband from online retailer zappos. when the wrong shoes were delivered, carson cogdill called customer service to let them know. she says she told the zappos agent about how flooding devastated her community. the representative apologized about the mix up,

a man after a terrible car crash. photos from the accident scene show just how damaged the vehicle was. the accident happened monday night, just outside the oscar winner's home in california. foxx called 9-1-1 and then ran out to the man.. who was still buckled in his seat. 3 "i grabbed the scissors from him - cut the seatbelt // as we pull him out - within five seconds later, the truck goes up." the victim was taken to the hospital with broken bones, but is expected to be okay. 3 a big moment for actress hayden panettiere. the star is speaking out for the first time since she was diagnosed with postpartum depression. the "nasheville" star says it was something she never understood. the 26-year-old has been on medicine and checked herself into a facility in october for treatment. the first-time mom is just one of 600-thousand women across the country diagnosed with this form of depression. 3 caitlyn jenner plans to share even more of her story with the world. jenner has signed a book deal for a new memoir. the olympic athlete will

3 it's 4:xx it's t-m-z time. jay, a popular kid's television character is facing a criminal charge. the actor who plays squidward tentacles on "spongebob squarepants" is charged with driving under the influence. law enforcement say a car was stopped in the middle of the road with rodger bumpass leaning against it. when they walked up to, they say he walked away and was so unsteady, he nearly fell. according to t-m-z, bumpass confessed to driving just before cops spotted him. he was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. t-m-z reports his blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit. jennifer lopez is preparing for her first las vegas show tonight. she launched her las vegas residency with a preview show for family and friends on
