one of the convenience centers. if you have garbage pick-up and you want your mail delivered on time, the folks who drive those vehicles say make sure you move snow and ice out of the way. waynesville residents are out and about after the big snow fall tackling chores. >> they had to close them down. >> rex: all of haywood county's ten convenience centers are back open now. >> not too bad but it piled up, you know. >> rex: it slowed things down but they're taking it all in stride. >> we were moving. i had all the boxes broken down. >> rex: trash pick up resumed. small trash haulers are just getting back to work. >> on monday's, about 25 pick-ups.

>> tammy: well the winter storm damaged the roof of a sports complex in fletcher. sl sportsplex says the weight of all that snow and ice did major damage to the area's gym. sl says that area is c csed off for repairs. the rest of the facility remains open. >> frank: buncombe and henderson county cools are closed again tomorrow. they're now beginning to add up. 8th grader josie seymour and her cyst ter the younger kids were given assignments in blizzard bags. josie says she's likes it much better than make-up days.

crude oil prices tumbled again. that took stocks along with them. the dow finished at 18,885. nasdaq fell 72 points and closed at 4518. >> tammy: a north carolina company is working overtime to help fans pay tribute to the carolina panthers as they get ready for the super bowl. >> frank: employees at logo dogs started printing championship t-shirts. the workers worked through the night and it took them about 12 hours to print 20,000 official championship shirts. those shirts will be sent to retail locations across the carolinas. >> tammy: we gotta buy one for the super bowl. well the super bowl appears to be only a rich man's game. the average resale price for the game is $5,000.

in to wednesday is when i think the better chances for wintery weather returns. unfortunately this does include mountain areas. we'll watch something here along the gulf coast moving in to florida and thursday. the models don't have an exact handle on this. but if this area of low pressure would work farther to the west and they'd have enough cold air in place, they'd give us enough snowfall. give folks along the east coast some snow. we'll watch it carefully. the forecast is going to be with the rain chances going up here the next several days. tuesday morning, the clouds on the increase. here we go by evening. notice the rain in green starting to spread from the southwest to the northeast. watch the blue start to break out here. this is early wednesday morning. dark blue indicating possibly

stretching up to northern haywood, yancey, madison county. there's not much of a window of opportunity. first the rain. look at this add up in to tuesday afternoon in to wednesday. we could see as much as a half ch plus in communities west and south. franklin northeast, less rain initially. watch the snow fall potential here wednesday early. yeah, could see up to half an inch in waynesville. this is a light coating here in buncombe county. maybe a third of an inch asheville. i think most of us see a dusting at best. tonight, the temperatures will be below freezing in most cases,

that means we'll have that black ice. look at these highs tomorrow. mid upper 30s. our temperatures will cool down wednesday and thursday. only getting in to the low 40s so quite a change. again, that situation off to the east of us has a big effect on what's happening here thursday. we'll keep an eye on it. temperatures closer to 60 by the saturday to sunday time frame. spring like with 60s back in saturday and sunday. >> frank: it's just the icing. >> jason: we're like give me a break. an inch of snow, no big deal. >> tammy: we're starting to see a lot of folks sharing more pictures with us and alocality of them involve snow. here's a pretty one. brenda conner snapped this one
