and that led henderson county school officials to add a two hour delay tomorrow. dot workers say most of the paved secondary roads are mainly clear but some unpaved roads are still covered. five dot trucks had mechanical problems. they are working as quickly as they can to make the roads safely as possible. >> we're working around the clock to get these roads worked on and to try to get them cleared for people. it has been difficult due to the amount of snow that we've had. >> karen: he encourages everyone traveling tonight and tomorrow morning to slow down. he also adds that the unpaved secondary roads, they should be

that's going to kick up our winds and bring us some cooler weather. in fact, it will be chilly on friday with that wind blowing around the area. that right here is a big bubble of warm air that's going to move our direction for the weekend. in fact, it's going to be rather nice. spring-like in fact for the weekend. notice the clouds coming up from the south and west. in and out of cloud cover tonight. even a chance for showers down there towards dawn. but the chances of rain in asheville, virtually nil. 10% tomorrow. friday, zero. saturday and sunday. it's looking nice. 39 degrees. north-northwest wind at 7. from paris mountain down in the upstate looking towards greenville, it is cloudy as well. your wind chill dropped a degree, down to 49 degrees. that norththst wind never a

it usually means more moisture. more clouds. certainly a chill in the air. notice the rain here possibly around 85 and south. tomorrow early in the day. by late day, we've pushed that rain farther east. here comes that system swinging through. it looks interesting here. you're like, what's that yellow dashed line. this is a broad area of low pressure called a trough stretched out from the great lakes down in to the carolinas. that is some disturbed weather. we'll get snow showers up in the high country. we'll see more sunshine than anything else. high pressure dominates in to the weekend. our winds will come around from the south and west. we'll see nice temperatures. the future cast. you'll see the clouds kind of leaning towards the east of us and thinning out after midnight. then coming back from the south tomorrow. if this holds true, our temperatures certainly won't be allowed to warm up as quickly.

over the upstate. certainly possible. not expecting a lot o rain tomorrow. then we go back to the northwest winds. here comes that snow shower activity for the high country on friday. i-85 that's going to be the dividing line for showers tomorrow and tomorrow afternoon. 20s for lows tonight. tomorrow we're going back in to the 50s for the foothills. closer to 50 in morganton. in the heart of the french broad river valley, look for temperatures mostly in the low to mid 40s. waynesville in to asheville. look at that forecast. we go down friday and then back up saturday and sunday in to the 60s. our temperatures will certainly stay mild as we go in to monday and tuesday with rain chances returning by then. not a complete washout. in the upstate, looking for 60s saturday, sunday in to monday.
