cases. that means these will be taken up in superior court. we last saw roblt richardson in january. her case was supposed to be continued to today. because a first degree murder charge was handed down, richardson did not appear in court. she alleged killed tim fry back in december. investigators say she claims she he assaulted her. investigators say they believe he shot all three the same night he led police on a chase. representatives with the district attorney's office tells me the next step is an administrative date in superior court. that is set to take place

>> welcome back. good afternoon. let's look at the radar. we are seeing light rain in transylvania county, cedar mountain, into henderson county. down into polk and spindale seeing light showers right now. nothing too much to worry about. in the next couple of hours, same thing, the batch of showers looks like it will move through the foot hills and out towards statesville. not much more behind that yet. we have a good amount of rain heading our way. i'll show you the timeline of that in a moment. >> visibility in miles in asheville still reduced at this hour. not

we just saw a camera before the break. seeing light rain in that location. when you look closely at the camera lens, you can see the rain drops hitting that. there is a guy walking across the street. hopefully he has a nice rain jacket on. at the airport, still zero since midnight. we will once again have a chance for heavy rainfall to come. this weekend, temperatures were mild, 20 degrees above normal for this time of year. and still unseasonably warm. 52 is as warm as we have gotten since midnight in asheville. 50 in burnsville right now. 50's in bryson to franklin. near that 60 degree mark down into greenwood. looking at wind speeds right now, they picked up a bit since this morning at 8 miles an hour.

this front is going to move through the region. it will increase our chances for heavy rain, the possibility of thunderstorms too. snapshot at 2:00 shows just a few light showers through dinner time with cloudy skies and then through the overnight hours, this is 2:00 a.m., the rain turning heavier. look at these heavy rain bands ahead of this front. 8:00, 9:00, 10:00 through lunchtime into the foothills and then it is out of here. it will be the first half of the day we see the bulk of this rain. looking at the next couple of hours, not a ton of rain expected. maybe a tenth of an inch. overnight, these chances go up and so do our rainfall totals. anywhere from one to inches more in isolated areasareas. 50's for highs, cloudy conditions with light rain. tonight it will stay mild, about 50 degrees back here in buncombe county. in greenville, 60 degrees with a few showers. staying mild tonight.

advertising dollars. microsoft holds the number three spot and facebook following a strong showing as passed exxon mobil into the number four spot. >> the wall street journal is reporting yahoo will announce job cuts when it releases its quarterly earnings today. marissa mayor will lay out a cost cutting plan to include cutting about 15% of the work force or approximately 1600 positions. the cuts would come as a key investor in yahoo is pressures the board for a management change. >> consumers cut their spending flat in december and instead boosted their savings to the highest level since december 2012. income in december increased three-tenths of a percent, matching november's gain. the higher income and flat spending pushed the savings to 5

these latest numbers underscore how cautious consumers were feeling at the end of the year. >> free snacks returning to the economy. on monday and soon free snacks will be available and back for american airlines coach class customers as well. american is also adding more free in-flight entertainment options. free snacks may not be a huge change in how airlines operate but it does signal increased competition among the carriers and an attempt to compete with the low cost airlines that are increasingly expanding at the hubs of the major airlines. >> if you love starbucks, you know those trips for coffee can add up. right now, the price the coffee giant pays for beans are at an all time low. that doesn't mean you'll pay

>> the type of coffee starbucks serves is cheaper. it is not about a buck 11. that's a 33% drop and it is only expected to get cheaper. officials expect coffee farmers to have a big harvest, creating an oversupply of beans which means more of a drop in prices ch don't expect to save any money when you buy that high end cup of joe. for a company like starbucks, coffee beans only make up about 20% of its overall costs. other factors influencing the price you pay, how much employees make. take-home pay for bah ristas is going up, especially with more places across the country increasing the minimum wage. starbucks is paying tuition for 4,000 employees. whole beans tend to be cheaper than whole ground coffee. an inexpensive grinder can pay for itself quickly. also buy that coffee in bulk for
