season, a mountain baseball team takes a huge loss. >> frank: the sheriff's department is investigating a break-in and larceny that leaves players at chase high school in shock. >> tammy: john, they're blindsided after their locker room became a crime scene. >> john: baseball season just a couple of weeks away, so crime is the last thing they expected on their home turf. it's been said there's no crying in baseball. but when there's foul play outside the lines, emotions run high. >> they're hurt that someone would do that. >> john: at chase high school, principal kevin bradley says the team is incensed. >> lots of high end composite bats. game balls, practice balls. >> john: he says between $3,000 and $4,000 worth of equipment

valley residents are sending us questions about a for sale sign. rex hodge has the answers that we're looking for. >> rex: maggie valley residents hope who buys this property, will continue leasing it to the post office. it's been here for decadede and they don't want to see it change locations. a stop at the post office is routine for many maggie valley residents. the big for sale sign out front catching many off guard. the building and land belong to kenny liner and his brothers. kenny liner says they're settling the estate of their father. >> i just hope it stays. it's just unsettling. people are so used to coming here. >> rex: they've been wondering what happens when someone new buys it. the gm property group in asheville is handling the sale.

now your news 13 skywatch weather. >> jason: we had plenty of clouds, just very little when it comes to rainfall, yet. that's the case so far. watch what happens when we go west. look at all this rain over the tennessee valley. heavy showers and storms moving to the east. this entire area of rain will be moving in later on tonight. first again, it will be our neighbors south and west over the upstate. western communities over the mountains and tennessee valley. we turn our attention to the risk of severe weather. the severe weather outlook hosted by the storm prediction center has a marginal risk in this dark green.

western north carolinas. marginal. emphasize marginal. this will be isolated in nature. the greatest risk will be out there towards the tennessee border, the georgia border, upstate. it won't be as big of a deal for asheville. just a lot of rain. 48 degrees in asheville. south wind at 8. that normally means some milder weather, which it has. youu are feeling the chill down there. northeast wind at 13 in the upstate. high pressure in canada. we've got that warm front stretching down to the carolinas. that warm area is going to win out, briefly. we could actually see our temperatures warm up towards dawn. once the cold front goes through, not only do we shut the
