>> we have an update for you, an assistant prince is back on the job following an administrative leave. schools placed barry owens on a five day suspension. it came after an allegation made against owens involving a crowd control issue following a basketball game. buncombe county schools says the investigation is over and reinstated owens to his position. >> you can weigh in on a proposal to turn a former land fill into a public recreation space. the division of waste management is holding a public hearing tonight at 6:00 at the events center at ab tech in asheville. the site being discussed is the 41 acre property next to the former bfa plant. before the land fill was closed in 2006, construction waste, nylon fabric, other waste was stored on the property. a brownfield agreement would allow the property to be redeveloped into a park with

in the 50's and continue to drop to the 30's. and now we are back up to the 40's in many locations. we picked up two inches of rain. we are in the positive territory. the river is still running high. there is still one riverriver. the flood warning is in effect. just after 18 feet, we'll continue to receive finally by this afternoon, that will begin. through friday afternoon, they have extended this warning into saturday because it is then going to be dropping back below that action stage. temperatures in asheville at 44 degrees. warmer into the foothills, we are in the middle to upper 50's. winds gusting at 15. there is a slight windchill. feels like 36 degrees right now in buncombe county. this front is continuing to move through north carolina.

for midday trading. let's get you to the boards. the dow up 82 at 16419. 4535. it didn't take long for apple to regain its spot as the world's most valuable company. on monday, google's parent company moved into the number one spot but yesterday, shares of apple rose 2% giving it a market value of already than $534 billion. meanwhile, shares of alphabet lost 5%, bringing its market value down to 515 billion. microsoft remains in the number three spot, exxon mobil passed facebook which had been in the number four spot. >> the internal revenue service suffered a hardware failure which left many services unavailable. the outage could affect refunds but the i.r.s. is not anticipating major disruptions. the i.r.s..gov website still remains available pu where is my
