murder, in the beating death of his father terry butler, last week in mountain home. news 13's aaron adelson takes us through this developing case. 3 3 aaron adelson reportingjoey butler lived with his dad in this home. according to a search warrant, at about 10:30 wednesday night a deputy found joey butler unresponsive on railroad tracks. his aunt told news13 butler had been drunk and belligerent. according to a warrant, ems took butler to pardee hospital, and he was released thursday morning. also in a warrant, in a 911 call wednesday, a caller reported a drunk white male around joey's age said he had killed somebody the previous day. the sheriff's office says they do not have a time of death back from the medical examiner. thursday morning, relatives found terry butler dead. that afternoon, john butler tried to cope with two sides to his brother. "they had a heck of a party, and my brother got killed at that same party. he wouldn't hurt a fly unless he was drunk. like

he's drunk. throughout the day thursday, deputies could not find joey butler. before 10 that night they found him. according to a warrant, terry butler died from blunt force trauma. after joey's first court appearance, his sister struggled to make sense of her loss. "i know he didn't do it on purpose. he wasn't in his right state of mind. i know he regrets it."butler told deputies he killed his father, and said his dad used a cane to hit him. the sheriff's office would not comment on whether joey said he killed his dad in self defense. while deputies were looking for joey, his uncle could not believe joey would hurt his dad. raleigh. 25-5-ar-old brandon kincaid was hit by a bus from a daycare in the school parking lot. he was rushed to the hospital where he died. kincaid was a second-grade teacher and used a wheelchair. authorities are still investigating how it happened. 3 a house fire kills several animals in charlotte. heavyvy smoke was coming from the roof when firefighters got there yesterday morning. it took crews more than half an hour to get the fire under control. no people were in the home, but four dogs were found dead inside. the cause of the fire is under investigation. 3 things look a lot different at the carolina panthers team store, after the loss to the denver broncos. outside, vendors are trying to unload all of their merchandise. one of the vendors says he took a gamble and chose charlotte to sell his gear, instead of denver. he is selling his super bowl shirts for between five and ten dollars... a big price cut from what they were before sunday. 3 3 3 the fight over redistricting in north carolina... is now headed to the u-s supreme court. that could have a huge impact on the state's primaries next month. yesterday, a federal appeals
