3 3 3 3 3 still no arrests this morning... after a teenager was shot in the head at deaverview apartments in west asheville. family members say 17-year-old kyri logan remains in critical condition at mission hospital. he is an erwin high school student and football player. kyri's cousin says the shooting touches everyone at deaverview. 3 that's a good kid. this doesn't not only involves him that involves everyone. you shouldn't be out here shooting and killing each other. that's crazy, that's just crazy.(as far as the investigation any update as far as suspects?) at this point it's too early. we've been talking to folks

the "jared's fine jewelry" on tunnel road last november. he plead guilty to felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery. the other four suspects will be tried in federal court. 3 3 winds and heavy rains rattled trees, power lines and the nerves of residents across north carolina. a damaging storm swept across rockingham area, leaving quite a mess behind. emergency crews had to rescue one woman and her dog when they became trapped in this home. 3 "i thought i was going to die really, thank god for that i didn't but still i'm, still homeless basically." the storm left about five-thousand dukes energy customers in the dark. crews are out working to restore power. 3 3 severe weather overturned an 18-wheeler, slowing traffic to a crawl in south florida. the storms downed trees and power lines, capsized boats, and slowed rush-hour traffic. the national weather service reported a maximum wind gust

3 3 new this morning... apple says it is going to fight a judge's order to unlock a cell phone owned by one of san bernardino shooters. in a statement on its website, apple says the order threatens the security of its customers. the couple opened fire at a holiday party last december, killing 14-people. the two were later killed in a shoot-out with police. the f-b-i says it has tried to unlock the phone for two months without success. the judge's order requires apple to disable a feature that wipes the phone's data after 10 incorrect password attempts. 3 3 3 in this morning's newsreel... a coast guard hearing begins to look into why the cargo ship, 'el faro' sailed into a hurricane. reports say the ship's captain e-mailed his superiors asking to change their route, the day before his ship sank near the bahamas. 33 people on board were killed. the ship's owners say the captain asked as a courtesy and did not need their permission to change course to avoid hurricane joaquin.

san diego home injures a family pet. the couple's dachshund ran from its owners and hid inside the house. that's when a man actually broke into the home to save the dog. the dog was taken to a veterinarian to be treated for smoke inhalation. the couple was not hurt. 3 a sewer main break is causing a huge mess in one neighborhood in fort lauderdale. that is sewage water you are looking at, and it covers several blocks. city officials say the sewer line broke near an apartment complex, flooding parked cars. fort lauderdale is advising residents to avoid all water- related recreational activities in the downtown area. officials are working to repair the sewer line. 3 an 18-year-old is behind bars in south florida. he is accused of practicing medicine without a license. the young man was apparently so successful at it, he was running his own medical clinic in west palm beach. he was arrested after family members called the health department, worried he was posing as a doctor. 3 3 a teenager in black mountain
