kills a washington state couple. you can see all the debris scattered across the property. officials say there is nothing left of the home. the blast was so powerful it broke windows at a nearby elementary school. investigators are still looking into what caused the explosion. 3 witnesses say a female student, armed with two large knives tore through the hallways of an ontario high school, attacking at least eight people. police say six students and two staff members had to be taken to the hospital. luckily, their injuries are all considered "minor." the attacker is under arrest. 3 a story out of egypt would be laughable if it had not really happened: a three-year-old boy is apparently off the hook after being sentenced to life in prison last week. he was accused of various crimes committed during a protest in 20-14, when he was just 16 months old. authorities are acknowledging, it is a case of mistaken identity. 3 3

3 it's 5:xx. let's take a look at business headlines. stocks fell yesterday. the dow was down 188 points to end tuesday at 16-thousand-431. the nasdaq was down 67 points closing at 45-03. 3 3 protesters gather outside of 30 apple stores across the u-s. they are against a federal judge's order that apple help the f-b-i break into the i-phone of one of the san bernardino shooters. a california judge issued the order earlier this month. apple says it would be required to create new software that could put all customer security at risk. protesters want to show solidarity for apple's fight, saying the order would compromise their own privacy. 3 citibank must pay almost 11- million dollars in consumer refunds. it's part of a settlement over illegal debt sales and debt collection practices. according to the consumer financial protection bureau, the bank broke the law by selling credit card debt with inflated interest rates and failed to forward consumer payments promptly to debt buyers.

and east tennessee. but, now, they are considered a "species of special concern." experts at the nature center say people can harm them just by going into cold streams and overturning large rocks. 3 be very very careful about picking up some rocks that are on the bottom because that could be a habitat, that could be a home for our hellbenders and once they're disturbed it's very hard for them to exist in a place where they don't have a home. hellbenders are important indicator of our environment, because experts say they only live in the healthiest waters. 3 3 3 3

for health and human services. let's talk about zika. what is it? >> it's a virus transmitted by the bite of a mosquito. it's very important for people to know we don't have the seeca in north carolina and in the united states. there is an outbreak in the caribbean and south and central america. >> holly: we know there was a concern for pregnant women. talk to us about the concern and what is the threat? >> so, there have been a lot of reports, mainly coming out of brazil, that have seen that babies born who were infected with the zika virus have a serious birth defect called microcephaly, where the head does not grow as large as would be expected for a baby. that can lead to problems with, you know, mental development, long-term health consequences. and so, there has been a concern, but i have to say, there is no proof yet that the virus is the cause of this. they are actually just started studies to look for this.

concern that this virus, as you said, transmitted by the mosquito, could be passed from person-to-person in certain circumstances, right? >> right. there have been some reports and one in the united states of sexual transmission of the virus from a man who was infected and then passed it on through sex to his partner. there have also been reports of blood transfusion, but we are still looking for the evidence to support that. >> holly: what are the symptoms? what do we need to watch out for? it could potentially get here. people are concerned. we need to be aware. >> right. so, most people actually don't have symptoms. only one out of five people who are infected two-page symptoms. the symptoms are usually mild. and they are fever, rash, red eyes, and joint pain. typically, they just last for a few days to a week. >> jay: so it corrects itself? >> yes. >> jay: a ma lair yeah--type thing ( ). >> there's no care for zika, there is for ma lair yeah. >> holly: that's the concern,
