foster parent? qualities i guess? >> we look for someone who is willing to give their time, their energy and just be there for a child and is willing to take kids to the visits, and just love the child and be there. >> lauren: as you all as part of mcdowell county dss put a lot of time and effort into placing the children into the perfect home. how does that placement process work? >> absolutely. we work really hard to match up the child with the family, so we want to try to child in the same school district and make sure it's a good fit for the child and the family. >> lauren: these number, these are huge numbers compared to last year. more than 100 children we are talking all different ages, why do you think this need continues to grow here? >> i think it continues to grow because we have seen an increase of drug use of birth parents and smaller children being concern testing positive for drugs. >> lauren: why would you encourage someone in mcdowell about it and think they have the time and ability do this. why would you encourage them to take the next step?
