williams fan. police say they responded to shots fired call on frazier street. once there, they found two vehicles that had been in a collision but no one at the scene. they think that was done deliberately. investigators think the three of them are belong -- are involved in this. they are believed to be armed and dangerous. crawl -- call crimestoppers at one-888-[ indiscernible ]. a woman's body into in the swamp. harold pratt appeared in an orangeburg county courthouse yesterday. deputies say he and the victim were involved in an argument after she disappeared around christmas. investigators found her body in a waterway off of highway 453. craft has been charged with murder. we are on your side this morning with the recall.

the cold front that was trying to move through yesterday has stalled out so the stationary front has been allowing a lot of moisture to be pulled in because of it. the computer model shows a very big depiction of moderate rainfall throughout the morning. but to the north, a lot of heavy rainfall is expected and that will continue into the upstate as well as into the central portions of the midlands by tonight, a little bit of clearing. all over again. at midnight tonight, south of i 20 and upwards of about three quarters of an inch of rain. in the upstate, 1.75 inches of rainfall by midnight. highs today will be in the lower to middle 70s. 70 and wadesboro. 74 in sumter. a high of 75 in orangeburg. during columbia, 100% chance of rain. a couple of thunderstorms could develop.

are bracing for historic floods. the rare winter deluge hit hard. forecasters say the mississippi and major rivers will crest beginning tomorrow. the so-called affluenza teen and his mother are expected to be deported to the us from mexico today. they were arrested on monday, two weeks after the 18-year-old missed a meeting with his probation officer. he was sentenced to just 10 years probation. following a drunk driving crash that killed four people. tensions remain high in ohio after a grand jury failed to indict two officers in the fatal shooting of tamir rice. protesters marched in downtown cleveland yesterday for several hours calling for justice. timothy lohman and his partner

both could possibly face civil rights charges. a fugitive from north carolina has been arrested. 71-year-old james edward cold. he has been on the run for almost 30 years. records show he had escaped a north carolina prison on june 23, 1986. he was convicted in april 1984 on two counts of receiving stolen goods. he would have been released on november 1989. he was arrested sunday for stealing jewelry from a flea market. he was denied bond and will be extradited back to north carolina. a new bill at the statehouse would give harsher penalties for harming or killing a dog or a horse. used by law enforcement. the dog -- the bill is called

the bill would raise the fined up to $20,000 and require the violator to repay the cost of replacing the expensive animals. it would also come with a mandatory sentence of two years. under the current law, the offense is a misdemeanor. new details this morning. in the case where more than 100 animals had to be taken from a north charleston home. the smell of the urine inside that house was so strong that a deputy found it almost impossible to breathe. that sam reporters said there was species scattered around the house. no charges have been filed so far but the ceo of the charleston animal society once the owner of the animals to be prosecuted so that she can be forced to undergo treatment and be banned from owning animals. >> unfortunately, besides the

deplorable conditions, this is a known repeat offender. don't have that many animals because it is a state -- it is against a state law. with more than 100 animals removed, it is one of the largest animal rescues and charleston county the shelter says the animals will be ready for adoption in about a week. they will be posted on the group's website. you may also donate to help them out. turning to politics. george pataki is dropping out of the presidential race. he made national headlines while governor during the september 11 attacks. the originally announced his run in may of last year. the former governor has never made it onto a main debate

midlands now, the midlands most accurate forecast. welcome back to news 19. the time is 6:42 and a lot of us got woke up by rumbles of thunder as a few thunderstorms move in. right now, the rain intensity has lessened up. at least, a lot of the rainfall is pushing out to the midlands. more rain and have bands of rain fall. moving through parts of eastern aiken county into western portions of orangeburg county and it is still mild and muggy.
