when a bill to fix our roads and bridges stalled last session but it needs to be addressed this year. >> all the business community asks is let's work out our differences and that process will work its course. we are hopeful that this is something that is going to happen quickly. if it doesn't we are pretty confident that they will deal with the issue. >> the chamber says the transportation department needs to be held accountable to ensure trust. >> drivers say they have seen our roads go down hill year after year. news 19's colby gallagher joins us now in studio with concerns. >> reporter: it is a joke between drivers that our roads will forever be a problem but residents can't help but feel hopeful that a fix is on the way.

and some of the worse in the country. >> we do have a lot of problems with the roads that needs to be fixed. >> i know where the spots are. if somebody is out out of the state it could be dangerous. >> the road to strengthening south carolina's infrastructure has been a bumpy one. drivers say the october flood highlighted issues that existed for years. >> the roads were not put in properly to begin with and it unveils what is underneath and we have a really bigger problem than what we thought. >> all right. >> reporter: he says the temporary slab has been a ban bade in front of his shop for -- band aid in front of his shop for months. >> it doesn't have a lot of effect on my business but i am sure that it can't be good for people driving over and over and over on their way to work

that will keep our temperatures up tonight. right now we have partly cloudy skies. temperature is at 49 degrees. winds from the northeast at 6 miles per hour. and then for tonight we are expecting to continue to see the clouds in the area and we will see a low temperature dropping down to 34 degrees. but there will be rain on the way. we will look at that forecast coming up. >> all right. thank you. in savannah the national transportation safety board is investigating after a plane crashed at the savannah airport this morning. we are told the plane had just take-up off and was -- taken off and was heading to kentucky when it had problems. the pilot turned around and was attempting to land when the plane crashed into ditch. two people on board were treated for minor injuries. columbia firefighters investigating the cause of a massive blaze last night that shut down a road.

engulfed in plames when they a- - in flames when they ariverred. -- arrived. they put out the flames before midnight. no injuries were reported. deputies are investigating an armed robbery that happened at the belk at the village after 7:00 p.m. last night. deputies say four suspects stole $700 worth of. from the -- merchandise from the store. deputies got a hold of one of the suspects and three others got away. if you have information that could help investigators find the other three suspects call crime stoppers, 1-88-crime-sc. . bond has been denied for a woman attempting to kill her disabled daughter and herself. she is charged with attempted murder and abuse of a vulnerable adult. officers were calleditute her
