the clemson tigers are on the championship down, the plane landed in arizona as they get ready for the title game against alabama. reggie joins us from the airport, reggie? >> reporter: thank you jr, the crimson tide a -- the clemson tied a 14-0 record. clemson, they're making out of the plane. arizona will be taking its first step. there's nick going for his fifth title in his career. he has three in the bag at tuscaloosa and he's going to be going at his 4th in the last six seasons.

his resume, it's no contest. he has nfl experience. his head coaching stop is at clemson. nick has worked for the likes of bill belichick and a coach at michigan state. now, he's in alabama looking to bring the crimson tide another national championship. clemson arrived at 6:17 here, and davo sweeney is a walk on. he was part of a national championship team for the player. the tigers are arriving here in arizona. tomorrow is media day and he'll have a walk through practice and before you know it will be time to kick it off in alabama at phoenix stadium. there's a big time connection on clemson's team and it spreads to the arizona locker room.

the evening hours with a low temperature of 51. there's more on the forecast for the weekend, that's coming up in just a moment. >> thank you so much. the october flood damaged hundreds of roads and bridges all across the state of south carolina and put the spotlight on our state's crumbling infrastructure. most of the damage has been repaired but many more roads and bridges will need attention. that's something i talked about today with senator lindsey graham. >> most of our dams are well built. one, repair the damage to the homeowners and businesses who suffered to try to get money on the table and a fair way to compensate them. we got a multi-00 million dollar package in this appropriations bill to help people who suffered from the flood but the farmers didn't fair as well they should have. they got wiped out. i'll work in 2016 to help

generally speaking our roads and bridges, we, now, know where our fault lines exist and part of the responsibility of the federal government is to help a state like south carolina who we suffered in a thousand year historic flood. we'll work to make sure the roads and bridges that have been compromised are rebuilt safely. >> state lawmakers are expecting to address the infrastructure issues when they go back into session next week. it's the largest jackpot in any lottery game in history. if you have a chance to win the $800 million jackpot saturday night, you can see the drawing right here on news 19, we can get caught up on what happens if the winner comes from our state? >> we're counting on it. i can tell you, we are counting on the fact that tomorrow night, when those numbers are drawn, it's going to be our jackpot.

the men's basketball team are taking on bandy at the colonial life arena. their head coach frank martin has been honored. he was given a mid season honor today being named the top coach in the division 1 men's basketball. it's named in honor of jim pellen at mount st. mary's university. he led the men to the division 2 basketball championship. a lot of you wondering how the weather is shaping up for the weekend.

on the west side it's been surging northward in this cold front and you can see the rain in the parts of the great lakes. it's coming south to the nation's midsection. you can see it cooler in the carolinas. charlotte it's 45 degrees and everyone else generally in the 50s. in south carolina, the temperatures are in the 60s, it's 50 in columbia, 52 degrees in orangeburg. with the clouds over us, those temperatures will not change much tonight. seeing the cloudiness we'll see tonight and tomorrow as we head towards tomorrow afternoon that's when we expect to see showers popping up through the area. and tomorrow evening, the front will come through before daybreak on sunday and we'll start to clear out. we're going to be seeing colder air. here's our forecast for tonight.

newberry, 47 in orangeberg, 45 in sumter and then for tomorrow, we'll be seeing high temperature, 53 in newberry, and 56 in camden and aiken. maybe 60 for orangeberg and manning. here's our 7 day forecast, and for sunday, it will be a bit windy and we're expecting a high temperature of 62. the warm part of the day is likely to be early, and then sometime during the afternoon we'll start to see that colder air coming in, it will be sunny on monday with a high temperature of 48, a bit breezy on tuesday, with another front coming through, 54 for a high. but, then on wednesday, the cold air settles back in, 47 degrees, the high temperature down to 27 degrees thursday morning, and then we'll see clouds coming pack into the picture on friday, with a high temperature of 53, and we might see light rain coming in on friday. >> we had really chilly
