romance between trump and ted cruz to deteriorate because we have seen that early on. they were almost friendly to each other and would not attack each other but of course in the recent weeks we have seen drop introduce an argument against ted cruz and he could talk about a potential indiscretion when it came to campaign funding as well so the big question is, will they go at each other and the atmosphere that we have not seen before? if they do is going to give rubio a chance to rise above and to give his voice and have him say i am not here to fight about issues. it could be has breakthrough moment. there are for other candidates on the main stage you have an opportunity to breakthroughs will be interesting to have a make or break moment for them and for the top three to show why they should take the lead position. >> we will have details with

tonight for news 19 at 11 pm. a bipartisan group is advocating a 5% cost-of-living raise for state employees. the group matt today saying it is time to pass a budget that increases paychecks beginning in july. employees take home pay has declined due to increased health care costs and pension contributions. >> state employees are the backbone of state services and of south carolina. they cannot be forgotten as we go forward. they have only received if you pay raises over the last seven years. that's 5% and everything else s gone up. we receive a bonus it doesn't go into your base and you have to pay taxes. so you don't get the benefit of your retirement system. >> state employees making less

one-time $800 bonus employees have not received a raise across the board in the last two decades. fellow senators are optimistic on reaching a compromise by the end of today. they will be continuing talks on tuesday. the group has a meeting throughout the week and they had made significant process from when they first started. they hope to have a plan by the end of the day on tuesday and other say it could be a week or two before they bring the bill to the floor. >> we can agree upon eight people in that room, but will we get out on the floor. we will have different sanctions have different agendas and we can't guarantee that. but i think the appetite for roseville is so strong those who are opposed to it with politics.

core a standardized test is not a place to see how the graders are doing the house passed an emergency measure today for a one-year test until a new permanent test is in place. house education committee chair said the test is important in setting up students for futures. >> with the assessment in the 11th grade. we will be able to tell where their strengths and weaknesses are and that they have weaknesses they can use 12th grade for remediation and graduate career and college ready. student about the test a lot of students have to spend their first year or two and college or technical school taking remedial classes. some of the democratic party top three candidates are headed to columbia. hillary clinton, bernie sanders. a martin o'malley will take part in the king day at the dome rally on monday. education is one of the main issues specifically making sure all schools are equipped to give students a level chance to
