austinwood apartments in columbia are still dealing with getting their apartments back to preflood conditions. the apartment manager tells us, they're still working on the project. >> reporter: she has no idea when her apartment is going to be fixed. >> it's 15-30 days. then 30 to 90. now it's indefinite. >> reporter: her apartment was damaged during the october flood. walk in you can still see reminders how high the waters rose. >> they are never straightforward with us. telling us exactly what happened or how they plan to handle it. >> reporter: the carpet was ripped out but never replaced. the toilets that were removed sat outside for weeks. we reached out to the company. that said for those residents, we allowed them out of their

funding despite the fact we had no obligation and also paid for pod services. even though with he didn't have an obligation to. >> the damage was much nor severe than they originally estimated. if they can't go back in the unit, they've got to go find another place to live. >> some work has been done but austinwood management says they're still getting permits to complete the rest of the repairs. news 19wltx. >> and we're being g ld they hope to have the rest completed in the next 45 days. and the national action says the poor and elderly neighborhoods haven't had much help since the flood. for that they need a room and look tocareton county school district summerton resource center where they say they have been ignored.

the search is under way for a department of correction inmate who walkinged away from and work site today. he was serving time for burglary and grand larceny. meanwhile, the search continues for 26-year-old zachary reaves tonight. he was serving eight years on a burglary conviction. police say he walked away from a facility in rock hill last week. and stole a gun. dangerous. if you have information on either of these two escaped inmates had call crime stoppers 188-crime sc. bond has now been set in connection with a fatal crash in lexington county. a judge sat a $100,000 bond for 21-year-old darius sitton. if he makes bond, he has to live with his parent and have had no conduct with the family. the wreck happened just after 4:30 this morning. near the lexington industrial park. investigators say a car was

crashed into another vehicle. leaving one person dead. troopers continue to investigate. in sumtmt, a brother and sister behind bars after being linked to a december shooting. they're identified as 18-year- old william span and 21-year- old nakia span. he's been charged with attempted murder in connection with a case back on december 29th. she's being charged of harboring a fugitive. both being held at the sumter county jail. a lancaster county man is dead after he accidentally killed himself after playing russian roulette. he pulled the trigger once without going off. and the second time it went off. three other people were with them. the super bowl now just a couple of days away. people are gearing up for the game. many local businesses are getting ready. as joyce reports, it's especially busy with a home team facing off.

degrees. 57 in columbia. that's actually one of the warm spots. it's 42 now in orangeburg. 41 in sumter. as well as in greenwood and rock hill. already down to 38 degrees. our computer model indicates that for tonight, we're going to be seeing clear skies. tomorrow, things begin to change just a bit. we will see some high clouds moving across the area. but late in the day, we'll see some clouds coming in from the south and for some parts of the eastern mid-lands, we might even see a few showers. but that'll stay mainly along the coast. but then it begins to move out. then the sun returns on sunday for us. here's what we're expecting tonight. lows of 25 degrees. 27 in winds burro and columbia. 31 in krol. 29 in sumter. then tomorrow, we should see high temperatures in the low to mid-50s with 54 here in columbia.

night, it'll be mostly cloudy but partly cloudy on sunday. then a strong cold front coming through the area on monday. should get up to about 55 degrees before the front comes through. it will be breezy but the winds will be increasing behind that as cold air begins to rush in. we're expecting on tuesday, some clouds to kind of build up. but no precipitation. 45 degrees the high temperature. but with the wind it'll feel colder. 46 on wednesday. by thursday morning, down to 25. and from there, temperatures begin to moderate and by friday, we're expecting a high temperature of 60 degrees. >> as you mentioned before you gave the forecast, it is february. it is winter.

to raise well, tomorrow the statewide street parade and festival takes place. things will be kicking off here in columbia at noon at corner of harden at jarvy street. also tomorrow, mardi mardi gras. the parade will take place at 11 in the morning. it friends at city routes farms where there's going to be tons to do for the entire family. all the of the money raised from sales will go to repairing the farm that was damaged during the flood some four months ago. and the jr. league of columbia is holding their 19th annual clean sweep sale. this is tomorrow. this is a big event every year. it begins at 8 in the morning.
