a weapon during a violent crime, and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. you may recognize leon's name because he was involved in public corruption investigation in lexington county. leon pled guilty to federal charges of knowingly hiring 60 people in the country illegally to work in his mexican restaurant. leon testified he paid money that ended up going to former lexington county sheriff james mets to help employees avoid charges at the jail. leon was put on probation and paid a fine but faced no jail time because he cooperated in the prosecution of mets. he is being held in lexington county jail and there is no word when he will first appear in court. two officers have been cleared after an investigation into a fatal shooting that took place a november 17. officers were attempting to arrest 21 year old bryant after

out of his pocket. the department released the dash cam video. you see the suspect pull a gun and fire at officers. >> this is a little misdemeanor, just a little thing. do not pull away from me. do not pull away from me. your arm is tense. >> it's the wawayou got my hand. >> listen to me. you are pulling away. >> it's the way you got my hand. >> you are charged with resisting now, charged with resisting. searching for suspects they say crashed a stolen car and shot at a man. officers say the two men stole the car near new castle drive and columbia. a short time later the vehicle wrecked into a sign. the son of the woman who owns the vehicle says the vehicle was taken while the car was being warmed up. after the theft happened he said he eventually found the suspects driving his mom's car and followed them. they ended up crashing the car. >> when they wrecked the car they got out and looked hurt. i tried to confront him like i am about to call the police. stay where you at. i guess they didn't agree. one of them pulled out a gun and started shooting. i guess he realized i wasn't going nowhere. >> no one was hurt but the suspects are still on the run. if you know anything, call crime stoppers at 1-888-crime sc. we have seen a few showers moving through the area.

farther to our north where the freezing rain has been collecting. we have a few showers in the columbia area extending north into the eastern part of fairfield county and still a band of showers from clan don all the way to kershaw. these are moving north northeast at 40 miles per hour. the main batch of rain is back to our west where a tornado watch is in effect for southern alabama and there has been quite a bit of severe weather with this line of thunderstorms and it is this entire area that's headed our way for the early morning hours. right now it is cloudy, 37 degrees, winds from the east northeast at six miles per hour producing a wind chill of 32. tonight we expect thunderstorms coming through during the early morning hours. it will be after midnight. our temperature will start around 38, 39 degrees and will be rising before the thunderstorms get here. tomorrow we'll break out into sunshine with a high temperature of 63 degrees. i will have the rest of the
