led to the accident. 3 a late night fire left two elderly people homeless. it happened just before 7:30 near the intersection of redwood court and carlton drive ... that's just off of highway 277. the fire crew says when they got there, flames took over the house.the couple was rescued d d taken to the hospital as a precaution. investigators are trying to figure out what caused this fire. fire crews say the house is a total loss. 3 3

appealing dhec's mine permit allowing winnsboro crushed stone to build a quarry in the middlesix area.the petitioners presented sworn staments from four different people along testimony from scholar and mining expert francis green. nats o owitness he company should have done their work or at least let these folks do it.reens says the mining company and dhec failed to conduct water tests in the area to ensure residents water supply won be negatively affected.. the petitioners called more than 10 witnesses before resting their case.nats of hearingthey haven't proven anything.."after objections from lawyers for dhec and winnsboro crushed stone, the council decided to throw out the parts of the case regarding residents concerns with how the mine would affect their air, traffic and noise. council members said dhec had previously addressed those topics in the permit. residents in the audience snickered at the decision the hearing will now focus on how the mine's possible effects on water and ownership rights. dhec started presented their

days away and several candidates are continuing their campaign across the palmetto state today. former florida governor jeb bush will hold a town hall this morning at 11:45. it's being held at the convention center in columbia. 3 and dr ben carson will be at several places today speaking to students. at 10:15 he'll be holding a town hall at the garden city preparatory academy for boys in orangeburg. then at noon he'll be particpating in the "bridging the gap" townhall at south carolina state university. tonight at 7 he'll be taking part in the conversative convention at the bon secours wellness arena in greenville. 3 marco rubio will also be in greenville for a rally this morning. he'll be joined by senator tim scott, senator mike lee and former gamecock connor shaw. rubio will then head to anderson for a rally in the afternoon. and then he will also take part in the conservative review's conservative convention in greenville.

governor haley said she wasn't sure whether or not she'd endorse any of the gop candidates for president...but that changed last night. news19's chuck ringwalt was there in chapin when the governor endorsed florida senator maro rubio. 3 "it was just a few short hours ago here in chapin where a couple hundred people came out for senator marco rubio's campaign rally. now the night started off with an introduction from former gamecock quarterback connor shaw, but what most people were here to see tonight was the endorsement from governor nikki haley."
