burglary around 9:00 p.m. wednesday night when they crashed in to each other near old orangeburg road. >> it was terrible. >> reporter: he lives nearby and heard a huge bang wednesday night. >> i seen this one cop's car squished in in the front. air bags exploded everywhere. debris all over the highway. strung up to the red light up here. and i walked down to see the other car. that is not what happened, it was just terrible. >> reporter: three deputies were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. two have been released and one is at the hospital recovering. >> i was praying for them. >> the sheriff's office says positive details are being with -- specific details are being weather held as they conduct their investigation. >> recuperating nicely and on the way to recovery.

news 19 wltx. . >> one deputy remains at the hospital. the burglary they were responding to ended up not being a burglary at all. richland county deputies are investigating after a domestic situation left two people. they were doing a welfare check after a six-year-old wasn't picked up from school. at the home they found the mother shot in the head. the suspect was found with a self-inflicted gun shot wound to his head. investigators examine the evidence in the dice determine what happened. a plan to fix our state's roads is being blocked in the senate. a senator is filibustering the bill again. lawmakers ended last year the same way. it would raise the gas tax by 12 cents a gallon over three years to raise money to fix the roads but the senator says there is no need for a tax increase.
