the suspect is 26-year-old kyle moore. he is being charged with polonius assault. officer john amole of ripley approached him last night along u.s. 50 to an fell out of radio contact. he was found unconscious a short time later by another officer. apparently,, or was known to police. he was issued warrants yesterday. he will be facing additional charges on the attack on officer amole. officer amole had only been on the force for five months. he was found unconscious in ripley at 10:45 last month -- last night. mark: in westchester, investigators are trying to piece together a shooting that left and 18-year-old seriously

andrew setters is live and uc medical center with more on the officer and what happened. good morning. andrew: good morning, lisa. the officer was brought to you medical center and has been released. he suffered a brought -- broken nose and job. the person responsible took his gun and is now being sought by police. if happened around 10:45 last night. officer john amole approach kyle moore at 52 and downtown. dispatchers had no radio contact from the officer. they sent other officers to the scene and found him unconscious with injuries to his head essays. he was sent to uc medical center and was released this morning. his handgun was missing. his cruiser was still at the scene. police are searching for kyle moore. he is 26 years old. he is known to police and the area. they are trying to find him.

lisa: thank you. we are learning that at least price fell man will not face charges after he shot and killed his sun inside their home. the 72-year-old shot the 14-year-old so now -- the 70 year old shot the 14-year-old after he thought he was an intruder. mark: new resources for the university of cincinnati will help victims of sexual assault. the money will be used to provide an on-campus location for medical exams for victims, and expand support services for victims at u.c. last year, u.c. created a special investigation unit dedicated to investigating and responding to incidents of sexual assault. lisa: ohio lawmakers are considering a new proposal to protect animals in the bitter cold. the proposed law would make
