m lisa cooney. more headlines straight ahead. but first a check of the weather with wlwt news 5 meteorologist randi rico. hope you are well rested. it was quite a storm. randi: 15 miles was a make or break for this one. there was the snow. around hamilton county, a whole lot going on around there. the east coast got varied -- bu ried friday and saturday. of snow? we will cloud backup into the evening. 26 degrees right now at cvg. s. 24 in peebles right now.

where the snowpack is still there, a couple of degrees cooler. today we' re going to start to get the e-mails -- the melt on. into the evening hours, clouds roll back in. a shower, pretty light into the evening. temperatures up into the 40' s today. we may see 50' s before the week is over. lisa: thank you. new this morning, the ohio state highway patrol is now saying a 16-year-old has died after a crash in milford. mark: dan griffin is live with what we are learning about the victim and the crash. dan? dan: good morning. this crash, a parent' s worst nightmare. now a community is devastated losing a teen behind the wheel. investigators say the crash happened last night just after 6:00 in milford.

lauren wilfong from loveland and just 16 years old was driving south in a coupe on glendale-milford road. we' re told she ran off the road, overcorrected, and crashed into an oncoming suv. the man driving the suv wasn' t hurt. but wilfong was pronounced dead at bethesda north hospital. investigators say it doesn' t appear drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, but wilfong wasn' t wearing a seatbelt. this morning we' re trying to get more information about her. for now we are live this morning, dan griffin, wlwt news 5. lisa: thank you. mark: a family speaks out after a woman is shot inside her car and left for dead. she died on saturday. the killer is still free, as well as the passenger, who police say was in the car and ran away. wlwt news 5' s tammy mutasa has more from the victim' s relatives

>> she took her last breath while the whole family was there, and that was tough, too. that was tough. tammy: for nine days they held onto hope for ieasha williams. in the end, her family had to let her go. >> i didn' t just lose a cousin, i lost a child, i lost a little sister, and it' s just not fair to our family. she was a very loving person. very loving, very kind, very genuine. tammy: but what they won' t let go is that the killer who shot the young mom of three is still >> and it has taken a toll on us, it really has. tammy: williams had been driving fired several shots into the car. wounded by the gunfire, she then crashed into a metro bus. she didn' t deserve this. this was not expected at all. she was too good of a person to just lose her life this way. tammy: investigators say the bullets weren' t meant for her.

mark: in commitment 2016 news now, the democratic presidential candidates take the stage together today a week before the iowa caucuses. hillary clinton, martin o' malley, and bernie sanders take part in a town hall at drake university in des moines, iowa. they' ll answer questions individually. forum before iowa' s february 1st caucuses, the first in the nation. meanwhile the democrats are now looking at the possibility that former new york mayor michael bloomberg could run as an independent. experts think it would take nominations of trump or ted cruz and bernie sanders for bloomberg to enter the race. most candidates said they would welcome him. some said they would not comment until he officially declared. hillary clinton said she will save bloomberg the trouble by winning the nomination. lisa: isis has released a propaganda video that claims to show nine of the men behind the november terror attacks in paris. this is a still frame from the video. the gruesome 18-minute tape shows the attackers' so-called

militants beheading hostages. the victims are not known. the paris attacks left 130 people dead. >> people are really happy to see that somebody cares about what they' re going through. it' s a desperate situation and it' s rough to see, but people were so welcoming and kind to us, especially when we told them we were from cincinnati. lisa: a group that calls itself cincinnati supports flint delivers cases and cases of water, all donated by residents in the queen city. the group shared photos with us of their time in flint. they drove about 4 1/2 hours up to flint sunday. working with the red cross, they personally handed out water to people. flint water has high levels of lead after city officials switched the town' s water supply to save money. >> this could happen in cincinnati. this could happen anywhere, and we figured that taking water -- it' s something that everyone can chip in on.

t really have any reason not to. lisa: the group arrived back in cincinnati around 9:30 last night. mark: more help for flint on gofundme.com. at last check this morning, donors from all over have given nearly $250,000. the money will go toward things like purchasing bottles of water, water filters, and even bags of fresh fruit and vegetables. one account is even raising money to offset the costs incurred by the virginia tech researchers who first tested the water and found unsafe levels of lead. in response to the outpouring of support, go fund me itself is making its own contribution. the campaign that raises the most money will get an extra $10,000. lisa: 26 degrees on your monday. sounds like we' re going to have a nice rebound this week. randi: 50' s are possible this weekend. temperatures this morning are cold.

dan griffin this morning was saying, it really is not bad this morning. that is the official forecast today. we do have some delays across our suburbs. planon n on snow melting way in those towns that did get hit on friday. into the afternoon, we turn off the flurry, nice and sunny. something may fall from the sky later this evening. rain showers are possible. let' s check the roads. kyla: i do not think anybody minds if we turn those flurries off. you will see clear conditions.

hazing rituals and family loyalty. several locals went out for the casting call for extras, too, . producers working locally on "carol." over the weekend washington, d.c., was pummled with snow with the #blizzard 2016. sure, the snow drifts were amazing to see, but so was the dedication for the men who serve at the tomb of the unknown soldier. on the group' s facebook page, members of the third u.s. infantry regiment stated that the tomb guards maintain a constant vigil at the tomb no matter the weather conditions. several photos have been shared of the old guard are staying with the tomb of the unknown solider at arlington national cemetery despite blizzard conditions slamming the area. really cool to see. and this weekend' s blizzed also couldn' t keep one couple from headed outside to celebrate their engagement. a washington, d.c., photogrpaher took these photos of felcia sam and david nartey in fort meade, maryland. the couple decided to keep their

forecast. the photographer wrote on instagram, "when your clients are just as crazy as you are, they defy the blizzard warnings and show up for a shoot while it' s actually snowing." as you can see the photos turned out great. mark: how did they get there? miriah: maybe they wanted. mark: snowmobile. lisa: incredible. miriah: crazy. randi: and they look cute. probably 20 degrees. they were frozen that way. we are talking about temperatures thawing out today. taking a look at your temperatures. starting out in the 20' s. into the afternoon, pretty close to 40 degrees through the afternoon and evening.

upper 30' s for the afternoon. maybe a late day flurry tomorrow. tonight is one the rain kicks in. light rain showers and steady temperatures. 42 for the high today. it stays all rain. a stray flurry possible late in the day on tuesday. the general temperatures, we' re almost that 50 degrees line saturday. lisa: thank you. a listeria outbreak in bags of dole salads has now been linked to one death and has put 11 other people in the hospital. dole is calling for a voluntary recall of their packaged salads in 23 different states, including ohio, kentucky and indiana. the person who died so far lived in michigan. the ohio department of agriculture found the contamination at a production plant in springfield, ohio, and says it is contained to just

>> the likely source in the outbreak in the dole plant is listeria monocytogenes that were brought in on the lettuce plants that were harvested. lisa: salads with a product code beginning with the letter a in the upper right-hand corner of the package are affected. some of these salads with that code were made for supermarkets including marketside at walmart, little salad bar at aldi, and fresh selections sold at kroger. mark: happening this week, ohio is marking its national school choice week with a number of events across the state. governor john kasich has issued an official proclamation in support. the goal is to raise awareness to education options for children, including public charter schools, public magnet schools, and private schools. ohio state university announced a multimillion-dollar expansion in available financial aid. the president says an additional $20 million will be available to

students. that includes 3,000 regional campus students. lisa: plenty of donations have been pouring in for a campaign aimed at helping foster children right here in greater cincinnati. the gloves for love campaign first kicked off earlier this month and will go through february 12th. the goal is to collect as many gloves, mittens, hats, and scarves for children in foster care. so far more than 2500 gloves have been collected. the goal is to collect 10,000 total. in norwood, firefighters there came together to remember fallen firefighter patrick wolterman. a donation of $3 was made for every pint of beer purchased during the pints for a purpose event. wolterman died in december responding a to house fire in hamilton. all proceeds will go to the firefighter wolterman memorial fund. >> cincinnati' s certified most accurate forecast. randi: we are warming these up
