mark: today on news 5 today, a high-speed chase on the highway with one of the suspects posting a video. the details on the suspects now in custody. lisa: new developments in a deadly shooting that happened in lincoln heights. mark: plus, cincinnati hit with some serious rain overnight. a live report on road conditions coming up. it was a busy evening overnight. the wind is still blowing overnight. randi: we didn' t see severe weather per se. we had rain and gusty wind and we have high water issues. here is the good news. the back edge of the rain is rolling through downtown cincinnati. we do have rain showers but much of the steady stuff continues to roll to the east. some areas are seeing rain to the east. we take a look and you can see the rain showers making their way to the east. the more intense line heading into eastern ohio. the rain is almost over but the

we do have flooded warnings and advisories. there could be high water at any point. and there is one flood warning. that is what is happening. clouds will be clearing out this morning. temperatures will take a little bit of a turn towards 5:00, getting closer to 50. of course you' ll need to watch out for high water this morning. wlwt news 5' s dan griffin is live with some of the flooding concerns we found this morning. dan? dan: good morning. we' re here on delta avenue and columbia parkway. this is a problem spot. you are not going to go very far between delta and torrance. that place is shut down because of mudslides.

down last night. look at this video. dispatchers say five feet of water and mud closed the two right westbound lanes of columbia while crews tried to clear mud. and look at this video. here on sutton road in anderson . high water shut down the road for a short time. police reopened the road a little later as the water subsided. as that water subsides, there still could be high water spots. you do not want to drive through high water and you could run into safety issues. there are still flood advisories across our area for much of the day. for now we are live on columbia parkway dan griffin, wlwt news , 5. lisa: new this morning, woodlawn police are looking for a critically missing adult. 53-year-old victor turner went missing from the goodwill

emily wood tells us more from . emily: they took police on a high-speed chase. the video is what has everyone' s attention, even investigators. the sheriff' s office says 22-year-old jehwuan booker took this snap chat video while in the backseat of a rental car. all as kentucky state police pursued the group on 75 southbound. >> that will most likely be used as evidence, so i don' t think we' re dealing with the brightest individuals here. emily: chief deputy mark schoonover says the chase started in lincoln heights just before noon, when undercover narcotics officers tried to stop the car for a lane violation. the driver, 24-year-old anthony knight, refused to stop leading officers on a 55-mile chase

miles per hour. >> these were some bad individuals, and our officers handled this very professionally, and it came to a safe conclusion. emily: the sheriff' s office says police cruisers stopped following the car once it reached the indiana state line, speeding past fellow drivers. it came to its final stop in harrison, where deputies arrested booker, knight, and 19-year-old chucky foley. >> when the ground units break off of a pursuit and someone feels like they' re not being pursued any longer, then they do just that, but probably what they did not know was that our helicopter unit was following every step they made. emily: a fourth person was in the car but not arrested. a handgun and small amount of marijuana were also recovered in

emily wood, wlwt news 5. lisa: the driver is facing felony charges in both ohio and kentucky. the two passengers were both arrested on outstanding warrants with gang ties in montgomery county. mark: a new court date has been set for the suspect in a deadly shooting in lincoln heights. randolph talbert is charged in the death of 26-year-old raj-paul doughty at lamarr' s lounge. deputies say he got into a fight with talbert inside the bar. talbert is set to head back to court later this month to set a trial date. lisa: the race for the white house has moved to new hampshire. mark: and after iowa, the competition might have changed. ted cruz is campaigning as a proven winner after his victory on monday. but not only is donald trump leading the polls, but many of the other republican candidates got a head start in new hampshire after giving up on iowa. that includes ohio governor john kasich, who' s been campaigning there nonstop. gov. kasich: whatever happens in this race, i' m going to be fine because i' ve given it my best and i know it' s out of my hands

[laughter] mark: kasich hopes to reach 100 town halls before the primary on tuesday. lisa: that soundbite will be making the rounds this morning. following a second-place finish in the iowa caucuses, donald trump is reflecting on his strategy in the hawkeye state. trump spoke to reporters in new hampshire and said his decision to skip the last republican debate may have been the difference in iowa. trump said he disappointed some voters, but he insists he would not change what he did. mr. trump: if i had to do it again, i would do the exact same thing, and you know why? because i raised $6 million for the vets in one hour. so if i took a second place over first place and could give the vets $6 million, i would do that all day long. lisa: donald trump also said he did not do enough campaigning in

mark: timeout to check in with randi once again. randi: you can see the heavy rain is rolling through eastern ohio along with gusty winds moving through the athens area. 6:00, 7:00, most places are totally done with the rain. we will stay on the greasy side. wind gusts had been in the 25, 30 mile per hour range. -- we will be on the breezy sid e. an inch of rain in sardegna. hebron, just shy of .7 inches since midnight. on the way to school this morning, showers will be coming to an end.

about 56 degrees. after school, still windy but not too cold, with temperatures in the low 50' s. we have some high water on area roadways. kyla: the biggest problem is columbia parkway. i had no idea this closure was happening. it starts at delta and last all the way to torrance. that is a pretty good chunk of columbia parkway. it takes a little bit longer if you' re heading into downtown. there is another closure near 133. it is close their as well. you could see some high water on sutton. lisa: thank you.

lisa: good morning and welcome back. 59 degrees. amazon could be coming to a corner store near you. mark: miriah turner joins us now with the details as well as other stories trending this morning. what is this all about? miriah: it' s been almost a month since the amazon store locally opened on uc' s campus, but now the company is forecasting more to come. the online giant may be adding up to 400 locations, according to leaked information from the chief executive of general growth properties, which is a large mall operator. they mentioned amazon' s future growth during an earnings call with analysts, according to the "wall street journal." amazon opened its first bookstore in november in seattle' s university village neighborhood. that is exciting and the prices are still the same as what you get online. calling all jedi masters and master builders.

belfast is seeing heavier downpours, all the way down to west union. the good news is the rain is moving out. 6:00 a.m., 58 degrees and showers will be coming to an end. today is going to be windy. we' ll take a look at when the temperatures take a turn. guys? mark: new developments in the zika virus outbreak. lisa: health officials in texas now saying a patient contracted the virus through sex. the cdc confirmed the dallas-area patient was infected after having sexual contact with a sick person, who came back from a country where zika is present. this is the first case of the virus being transmitted in the u.s. during the outbreak. zika is usually spread through mosquito bites and has been

some highways are completely blocked, so emergency crews can' t get through. mark: and another funnel cloud' ve touched down in alabama. storm chasers caught this video in pickens county last night. a local sheriff says storms are damaging homes, knocking down trees, and causing power outages. several counties opened community safe rooms overnight. lisa: new developments for flint residents and their water crisis. a house oversight committee is scheduled to hold a hearing in washington on the safe drinking water act in flint, michigan. flint' s tap water was contaminated with lead after the source switched from detroit to the flint river in 2014. residents started complaining about the appearance, smell, and taste of the water shortly after the switch but say no one in state government would listen. mark: time to check in on the roads. kyla: we have several problems already this morning because of
