eight days in american politics. you remember hillary clinton and barack obama, she was trailing at this point in new hampshire by double digits. she came back and won on primary day. the cliche is a lot can happen in a short period of time in politics. that is true this week. we have seen marco rubio starting to move up significantly in the polls here. donald trump is maybe sliding back a bit. he is not growing. if you are donald trump and lost iowa and turn around and follow it up with a loss in new hampshire, especially after leading, it is really hard to see how he can jump start his campaign in later stages. he needs to put wins on the board steadily or seen to be beating expectations steadily to stay viable in the later contests. he has to come out with a win tuesday or he is in trouble. >> alice, steve mentioned marco rubio. up six points in a recent poll. you have the outsider candidates

you have polls showing between 20 or 30 points for sanders. most people think that will tighten. when you look at the clinton family history here, you think of hillary clinton obviously coming back and winning in 2008, but the other one was bill clinton in 1992. we remember new hampshire as the state that made him the comeback kid. what we forget is he actually lost new hampshire that night by eight points to paul tsongas. that is how he called himself the comeback kid. mind. i think the clinton campaign would like to get out of new hampshire, they would like to drive the deficit into single digits. they like to close with some momentum. they like to be able to tell the media, look, bernie sanders is from next door. he is from vermont. a huge advantage there. there is not a huge advantage to being from vermont here in new hampshire. that is another story. they will say that. they want the media to put an

yeah! whoa! aah! look out for the robots! whew! yeah! take that! and once again captain super duper saves the city from almost certain doom. "thank you, captain super duper." "you don't have to thank me, ma'am. "i was just trying to help. captain super duper, up and away!" the end. wow! captain super duper, you did it again! well, i'm off to the stock room. see you guys later. captain super duper can save the city from just about anything. asteroids, plasma robots, a giant space octopus! no offense, sal. none taken. hey, that looks like my cousin reggie.
9:26 am
if only i could be more like you. ah, let's see, tomatoes. tomatoes. ah, right here. this is gonna be a problem. well, i am kind of a captain already, so we have that in common. but you do so many wonderful things, like when someone's in trouble. hi, radar. a little help here. like i said, when someone's in trouble... radar. in trouble! don't worry, radar! i'll rescue you! hyah! [beeping] gotcha! whew! are you ok, radar? yeah, i guess. wow! it's a good thing you were passing by, comet. oh, it was nothing. no, really. i would have fallen if you hadn't swooped in like that. you saved me!
9:27 am
i did save you! i saved you! right. so, uh, so thanks, comet, thank you. no need to thank me. i was just trying to help. that's just what captain super duper would have said. what was that? nothing, nothing. heh. just clearing my throat. ahem. so, i should be off and away. that's another thing captain super duper would have said. what? nothing! off and away! the end. we all know comet as the friendly, mild-mannered captain of the astroblast space station cafe . but is he something more? could he be... a hero? ah! sputnik! straight for that banana peel! and fall! sputnik, look out! i'll save you! yah! whew! that was a close one. gee, comet,
9:28 am
i was really going to step on that banana peel, but thanks anyway. all in a day's work. for a hero. what? nothing. off and away! and so captain comet continues his daily heroic rounds. all seems quiet, but you never know when danger will present itself. [gasps] halley! that table above your head, look out! i'll save you. uh! ok, all clear. all clear for what? you almost hit your head on this table, halley. i saved you. uh! oh! um, thanks, comet, but i saw the table. i wasn't gonna-- you don't have to thank me, halley. i was just trying to help. because that's what heroes do. what? nothing. off and away!
9:29 am
comet: jet, look out! oof! that was a robot spider, jet, right into it. ah, that's ok, jet. you're thinking. but you don't have to thank me. i was just trying to help. like a true hero. i didn't say anything! off and away! captain comet to the rescue! huh? off and away! look out! ow! that chair almost slid out from under you. you could have fallen. but-- off and away! look out! i'll save you, jet! this rug is bumpy! you could have tripped!
9:30 am
i'll save you, orange! i'll save you, pillow! i'll save you, flower petal! captain comet is off and away! i'll save you, napkin. i'll save you, pepper shaker. i'll save you coat rack. i'll save you-- all: stop! uh, everything ok? does somebody need help? no! no! no! well, that's because captain comet has everything under control. comet, what are you doing? i'm not doing anything... except saving everyone from danger! really in danger. those oranges. or jet's pillow. but i saved you, all of you. um, not really. made you start acting but you're not. you're more like
9:31 am
i am? all: yes! you don't have to save us if we're not in danger. so, uh, stop, ok? i saved them all from danger and this is the thanks i get? uh. [struggling] oh, no, sal? trapped under the sink? this is it. now i can show everyone that i'm a true hero! hold on, sal! i'll save you! uh...yah! oof! oh, boy. i wish you hadn't have done that. whoa! wow. got some big pipes under there. ah...hmm. [humming] hey! sorry about the whole water thing, sal, but at least i saved you from danger. you did? of course! you were trapped under that sink,
9:32 am
and that's all that's important. ha ha! i wasn't trapped, comet. i was just trying to get rid of that drip. but you mean you weren't in danger? nope. but i wanted to save you. it feels great to be a hero. just like captain super duper! but you're not captain super duper, nobody is. well, except for captain super duper, and even he's a cartoon. you don't have to be a super hero to help people. but what if you have a cape and a cool costume? that might look cool, but it doesn't make you a hero. as my gam gam used to say, "sal, to thine own self be true." you can still be yourself and do good things. all right, i got to go build a transmogrifying time shifter... and then make some new potholders.
9:33 am
but i am a hero. and who doesn't want a superhero around? hmm? oh! uh! huh! ha! wow! they didn't need me to save them at all. um...everyone was right. i didn't really save anyone. i'm not like captain super duper at all. ok, for the raspberry rocket launch smoothie, we need raspberries! raspberries, check. oranges! oranges, check.
9:34 am
i just wanted to say sorry i kept saving you guys when you didn't need saving, like sputnik with the puzzle. jet with the cushion, halley with the chair, radar with the shelf. actually that time you did save me because i was in danger. right. anyway, i kept imagining that all of you needed me to save you, but you didn't; you can all take care of yourselves. i just wanted to be a hero, but i guess i'm no captain super duper. i'm just me. well, what's wrong with being you? yeah? we like you. yup! and we love to get help from you. yup! when we need it, like with me and the shelf. thanks, guys. well, listen, you don't have to worry because from now on, i'm never going to say... look out! ok, great, thanks for the heads up. so let's get back to work, everybody. no! seriously,
9:35 am
come on, comet, not again! but i'm telling you! hy...ah! hmm. gonna have to fix that. wow. that could have fallen on us. comet, you saved us! you're a real hero! i am? i guess i am. i'm just like... me. celebration time! raspberry rocket launch smoothies all around. yay! yeah! [slurping] w-whoa! don't worry, comet. i'll save you. ha ha! ha ha! we brought you here today to get your honest opinion about this new car. to keep things unbiased,

when you're up in outer space and searching for the greatest place where everyone's a friendly face astroblast ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, here is your crew-- sputnik, halley, radar, jet, sal, and comet. astroblast [slurping] package for...comet. comet? why, yes. he's right over-- it's here! it's finally, finally here! oh, thank you so much! uh...yeah. sure. just sign here. hold onto your seats, gang, because i am going to show you the coolest thing in all the galaxy! da da da da da daaa! the kung fu cape! a plastic cape?
9:39 am
captain super duper! faster than an exploding supernova, stronger than jupiter's gravity, more powerful than a type-7 quasar! comet, we know who captain super duper is. you carry him around with you everywhere. you even bring him on vacation. i've had captain super duper since i was a little puppy. he's like my best friend. we've fought all kinds of baddies together. pow! bam! wham! isn't that right, little buddy? "it sure is, comet." well, i'd love to stay, but since i've seen captain super duper 100,000 times before-- but wait. you haven't seen this. with his brand-new kung fu cape, captain super duper can do all kinds of martial arts. if i can get it to stay on, that is. there! now stand back. break a space brick! hiyah! with a karate kid kick! wah-ha! that is cool... until his cape thingie fell down.
9:40 am
sure. just be careful with the cape. it's kind of tricky. break a space brick! hiyah! with a karate kid kick! wah-ha! a turn before i head off? uh...that's all right. i need to check on the moss in my terrarium. ok, then, i'm going to leave captain super duper and his kung fu cape right here. maybe since his cape is kind of delicate, we shouldn't touch him unless you're around. ok. so when i'm not here, nobody can play with it. all right? for now, he'll rest on his lookout tower, keeping the galaxy safe against evildoers! "see you later, comet." ah, it's just a plastic toy. seems kind of boring to me.
9:41 am
