mark: an arraignment today for the uber driver accused of killing six people in michigan saturday. what police are saying about a motive in the case. lisa: a family gets closure after an army veteran is found dead. how they' re using his story to reach out to others who are struggling. mark: a group tied with major hacking scandals has allegedly found a local target. the cincinnati police department is handling a reported run-in with anonymous. i' m mark hayes. lisa: i' m lisa cooney. headlines are straight ahead. but first a check of the weather with wlwt news 5 meteorologist randi rico. details on a fabulous weekend. randi: look at the temperatures. 72 on saturday. yesterday basically 60. i know you' re hoping for a repeat today. it is a monday. temperatures drop 10 degrees from saturday to sunday. we' re basically falling another 10 degrees from sunday into monday. the high today, 50-ish. a good bit cooler than saturday but still above average. the radar showing mostly clear skies across our area. it will be a pretty sunny day.

the online database has taken down. the information is still out there and still a concern for cincinnati police. they say it' s in response to the deadly shooting of paul gaston last week. cincinnati police said paul gaston was armed with an airsoft gun when he was shot and killed last week. the group anonymous draws connetions between gaston' s shooting and the deaths of john crawford and tamir rice, who were also carrying toy guns. another incident the day before in mount healthy involved a man with a toy gun who was confronted by police, but not shot. that was referenced in a video released by anonymous. the group that released the information on cincinnati officers says they will data dump as many officers as they see fit for each situation. we are hoping to learn where the information came from and how it was obtained and how the department is responding. reporting live andrew setters, , wlwt news 5.

new this morning, a man injured after he was hit by a driver walking down i-275. this happened in the west-bound lanes, right by i-71. he ended up up on the interstate after walking out of the hospital. he injured his head and his leg, and he was taken back to bethesda. mark: a couple hours earlier, two teenagers were hurt in a crash in crosby township. the intersection of new haven road and mount hope road. a 16-year-old girl was driving, and a 15-year-old girl was also in the car. police say the driver lost control, hit a guard rail, and then hit a utility pole. both girls were taken to the hospital, and they are expected to be ok. happening today, two suspects expected in court after a police chase on the west side. police say 24-year-old iesha harris and 23-year-old darius loveless assaulted a woman in colerain township, and then stole the u-haul truck she was driving. harris got behind the wheel and

up. harris eventually hit some stop sticks and crashed into a police cruiser. they are both expected to be arraigned later this morning. lisa: 27-year-old aaron berns had been missing since the first of the year. berns went missing after authorities say he started a fire at a morrow home and jumped in to a river to elude them. last night his family says while they' ve gotten closure, they hope his death means more. wlwt news 5' s tammy mutasa spoke to his parents and has the latest. tammy: the vigil had already been planned for sunday, but the closure came the day before. >> it felt like it was meant to be. tammy: aaron berns' body was found in the little miami river after missing since new year' s day. >> it' s been a long two months, very long time. tammy: deputies say the 27-year-old jumped into the river while on the run from deputies. investigators say he set a morrow duplex on fire. >> it' s a nightmare. you know, the first two days police did a very intensive search near the river where he

the river was eight feet above its normal level. tammy: before his death, berns was an army veteran. he went to combat on two tours in iraq. >> he did bring a lot of joy to the people he met over in iraq. he went around with the generals and he was the soldier on the side. tammy: but back home, his family says he struggled with posttraumatic stress disorder. >> maybe this will wake up somebody somewhere to say we need to do something before t adjust. tammy: even though their son couldn' t find the peace he longed for, maybe with this vigil someone else will. >> i just hope that there are many other people out there maybe that are searching for peace that will be helped instead of finding an end such as this. lisa: aaron' s family continued the past seven weeks throughout

mark: a michigan man police say went on a shooting rampage will be arraigned today on murder and attempted murder charges. he opened fire at three different locations saturday night shooting eight people, six of them fatally. wlwt news 5' s miriah turner is at the live alert desk now with the latest on the investigation. good morning. miriah: just over 24 hours after the first shots were fired, people gathered at a special church service to mourn and pray on sunday. police are saying the violence shown saturday appears to be random. they have identified the gunman as 45-year-old jason dalton. authorities say the shootings began just before 6:00 at an apartment complex. the victim there, a mother of three, is now in serious condition. the shooting spree continued for more than four hours at a car dealership and a restaurant parking lot. six people were killed, including high school student tyler smith and his father, who were targeted while shopping for a new car. sister-in-law mary nye also killed. they had spent the evening at a

shots were fired, police apprehended jason dalton without incident. critical condition from the shooting this morning, originally thought to be dead. police say dalton had ties to the community and did not have a criminal record. suspect was a driver for the from the live alert desk, i' m miriah turner. lisa: thank you. the death penalty begins today in rome. calling for an end to the death he told a crowd in st. peter' s square sunday, "you shall not kill" applies to the guilty, as well. the pope asked catholic politicians to put a moratorium on executions during the year of mercy, which ends in november. here at home, the community will say goodbye today to a familiar west side business owner. price hill chili owner chris beltsos' funeral will take place today. sunday, we found a long line of mourners outside the meyer and geiser funeral home waiting to pay their respects.

lisa: good morning and welcome back on your monday. hope you had a nice weekend. some changes coming in when we continue. disney is once again revisiting one of their greatest hits for a live-action remake. mark: miriah turner joins us now with the details and other stories trending this morning. miriah: walt disney pictures has debuted the first trailer for "pete' s dragon," a classic from almost 40 years ago. the plot revisits the 1977 family film combining live action and cgi to tell the story orphaned boy, pete, and his best friend, elliott, who just happens to be a dragon. if you just can' t wait until the end of the summer, head to theaters this spring to catch remakes of "the jungle book" and "alice through the looking glass," a sequel to 2010' s "alice in wonderland" remake.

a quick rebound into the weekend s. guys? ohio' s governor has approved a bill to strip funding from planned parenthood. governor john kasich signed a measure sunday cutting more than a million dollars the agency receives through ohio' s health department. the mostly federal money supports hiv testing, cancer screenings, and violence prevention. supporters want the money to help centers that don' t provide abortions. mark: in commitment 2016 news, governor john kasich is headed to virginia today ahead of tomorrow' s nevada caucuses. the republican presidential candidate will host three campaign events, starting this morning at a town hall at george mason university. kasich also planned an afternoon event in charlottesville, virginia, and another town hall at virginia commonwealth university in richmond tonight. his appearances come two days after south carolina' s primaries, where he finished in a distant fifth among other republican candidates. lisa: meanwhile, donnie wahlberg
