here. laurens mother helped organize the event and we found her making sure everything was in the right place. they have raised $6.7 million through events like this. the money is donated to cincinnati children' s medical center. he' ll says the night is a great tribute to all the kids who have fought pediatric brain cancer. for us here we are proud because randy is one of the emcees tonight. she says is going to be a great night and she' s proud to be a part of it. courtis: thank you janel. camping out overnight proves many folks are more than just fairweather fans. richard chiles was with them at the box office when the opening day tickets went on sale.

courtis: happening now, the cure starts now is going all out for its biggest fundraiser of the year. lauren hill' s brain cancer fight is on many minds tonight. live at the duke energy center with the party getting underway. reporter: i had a chance to spend a couple of minutes with lauren' s and mother. events like this actually help keep her daughter' s memory alive even though she lost her battle. her mother helped to organize tonight' s event and we found her making sure everything was in the right place. it has raised $6.7 million through events like this one. some money is donated but a lot of that goes to researchers who apply for grants through the

that powder appears to be a lemonade mixed. the secret service and fbi both investigate. my boy eric. reporter: anger at the republican front-runner aimed at his family. a letter containing a threatening note and suspicious substance was mailed to a donald building on central park. the note was postmarked and picked up by eric comes wife and the substance believed to be a lemonade mixed. the threat follows this incident last week as donald trump spoke . secret service agents surrounded him after a man try to rush the stage. he received tighten secret service protection surrounding

courtis: eric trump is the middle son of the gop presidential candidate. he has been a regular presence on the campaign trail with his dad. courtis: happening tomorrow, the historic visit for president obama set to visit havana, cuba. the capital city is undergoing a makeover. many buildings look familiar. because of the anti-american sentiment, many buildings were hardly used. mr. obama will be the first sitting u.s. president to visit the island since 1928. he will stay there until tuesday. cleveland has fired and ems supervisor after the city says he posted about tamir rice' s death online. the city called the facebook post where jamie said he was glad police shot the 12-year-old boy, the city call that egregious.

have the chance to shoot rise. northern kentucky men are being remembered after they died in what police are calling a murder suicide. police say they found nicholas hopkins of florence and travis thompson of independence dad after being called to check on them. friends gathered to remember the two. investigators are not releasing details. they confirm one of the men was a student at the university of pikeville. a teenager killed in a crash monday night was laid to rest today. a funeral was held at the allen

kentucky had to be rescued after it fell into a ravine. the horse was found trapped in the ravine tangled in fines. kentucky' s large animal response unit was able to get him out using a tractor harness. it will be a few more days until they know more about the horse' s recovery. similar to humans, autoimmune diseases can happen in dogs. the condition is recently being heavily researched in dogs and that is because they are dying from it. now more on the growing concern tonight. reporter: >> she says when something wasn' t right, she began losing weight but still
