the 8500 block of sandy plains road by fire and police divers. and they were performing cpr on the man on the dock. stay with abc 2 news and abc2news.com. we'll bring you updates on this breaking news. and we have some more breaking news tonight. more sad news. two teenagers were found lying on the light rail tracks near the lutherville station, and we have just learned moments ago that the second boy has died. now two boys are dead in what has become a very baffling case for the mta. as linda so reports tonight, people apparently walk along those tracks all the time. [ bell ] >> reporter: mta workers were back at the lutherville stop, inspecting the tracks and searches for clues. there is still a lot of unanswered questions after two teen boys were found lying on the track sunday. one was killed, the other seriously injured. >> it's going to be a very complicated investigation. and we're sorting through everything so we can hopefully

find some answers. >> reporter: witnesses reported seeing what looked like a damaged train dragging metal under it. one woman says she saw the injured teens lying on the tracks. mta officials are hoping video footage will shed light on what happened. at this point, they don't know if the teens were actually struck by a train, or why they were there. lisa hernandez walks along the tracks almost every day. she says a lot of people do it. for her, it's an easy shortcut from where he is coming. >> in order to get where we're at the light rail werke would have to walk all the way around which probably adds another 15, 20 minutes to your walk versus if you just cut down the tracks, you'll be here in like seven minutes. >> most of the times i walk in the center of the tracks. if there is two trains coming, i'll get way off on the side. and you can hear that train coming 300, 400 yards before it gets to you because the rails themselves start to whine. >> reporter: but the mta wants

to make it clear. trespassing is not allowed. >> it is never safe for appropriate or fun to play on or near train tracks. and we would like to remind everyone to stay away, stay off the train tracks wherever you are. >> reporter: in lutherville, linda so, abc 2 news. >> and we just received more new information this case. the victims both 17 years old have been identified as conner peterson and kyle patrick bankmiller. both are from luther bill. wheel continue to follow the story on abc 2 and abc2news.com. a prayer vigil is planned for tonight for the 5-year-old girl shot in southwest baltimore last thursday. according to the baltimore sun, it will take place in less than an hour at the scene of the shooting in the 300 block of pulaski street. raven wyatt remains in critical condition. meanwhile, 17-year-old lamont davis was denied bond at a hearing this afternoon. davis faces two counts of

attempted murder. we'll have more on the evidence against him coming up on abc 2 news at 6. who killed steve mcnair. the death of the former ravens star is classified as a homicide but, so far an unsolved one. now tonight a relative of his girlfriend says police told him she had recently bought a gun, and that they are almost sure she was the shooter. abc's diana avellar reports she could be the key to the mystery. >> reporter: he was their hometown hero, a gifted athlete with a big heart. >> the steve mcnair that i knew was a great person. >> reporter: news of steve mcnair's murder has stunned tennessee titans fans, who laid flowers and left messages at the former quarterback's restaurant. police say a friend discovered mcnair's body at a national condominium on the 4th of july. she had been shot multiple times. a gun was found underneath the body of his mistress, who suffered single bullet wound to is the side of her head.

authorities have ruled mcnair's death a homicide, but they have not yet labeled kazemi. >> you can lean certain ways in an investigation, but you can't be closed minded. >> reporter: mcnair made the pro bowl three times, was the league's mvp in three time and came up 1 yard short in super bowl xxxiv of possibly forcing the game into overtime. >> that's the man from tennessee, steve mcnair thinking is a devastating loss. for the community, for the organization. >> reporter: police say mcnair has been dating kazemi for a few months. they're now investigating the nature of their relationship and what motive anyone might have had to commit murder. >> we have already begun talking to friends of miss kazemi and friends of mr. mcnair. >> reporter: it will be at least a few days before authorities announce someone else killed the two or whether it was case of murder-suicide.

diana avellar, abc 2 news. ♪ they are in the process of getting the staples center ready in california where tomorrow thousands of people will gather to say their final goodbyes to the king of pop two memorial services are planned for tomorrow, the very public one and the other private. those were, after all, the two faces of michael jackson. abc's t.j. winick has learned that there will be a private family burial in the morning before a spectacular public memorial for a superstar who had the world dancing to his music. >> reporter: 11 days after his death, more than 17,000 michael jackson fans now have something to celebrate. >> already got tickets for row 12. >> reporter: having won a highly coveted seat to tuesday's memorial for the king of pop at the staples center. >> i just can't stop crying.

and i've never won anything in my life. and i won the tickets. it's so surreal. >> reporter: this morning fans who registered online beat incredible odds to get tickets at dodger stadium. >> i'm overwhelmed with emotion, just driving over here listening to michael music. i wurst into tears. i can't believe it's so final. >> reporter: in a battle or his estate, the judge ruled a long time friend and should take charge. >> we believe the judge did the appropriate thing, made the right decision. it's our operation, our duty, our responsibility, and our desire to do everything we can to carry out michael jackson's wishes. >> reporter: an august 3rd hearing was set on the authenticity of jackson's 2002 will. there are now reports there may be another record of the singer's last wish from 1997. >> while we are not contesting the will, it remains to be seen

and a tomorrow abc news will broadcast live coverage of the memorial service for michael jackson. the service starts at two income the afternoon our time. but starting at 1 p.m., charles gibson will ankle a core abc's special coverage which is being called remembering michael jackson. you can watch it all right here on abc 2. locally now, a baltimore man arrested earlier this year when police found more than 90 pounds of cocaine in his pickup truck. plans to plead guilty tomorrow. but the lawyer for trenell murphy still plans to appeal the denial to suppression evidence taken from his truck. he argues police misled a judge into granting a search warrant for the truck after they had already searched it. tonight attorney for former d.c. mayor marion berry says the stalking charge against him is, quote, faceless, and stems from a relationship gone wrong. on the 4th of july berry was arrested after a woman flagged

down a park police officer saying he was stalking her. he was charged with misdemeanor stalking and released. his attorney says barry and the woman had been in a relationship for more than year. >> as you also know for some of the media sources, the person who has made these charges against mr. barry has in large part recanted her initial allegation. she has said that she was not threatened. she did not fear for her life. she did not fear for her physical safety. she indicates she has had as recently as a couple hours before this alleged incident, had a meal with mr. barry. >> barry is currently on probation in the federal tax evasion case. berry served four terms of mayor of d.c. in his third he was videotaped in 1990 in a hotel room smoking crack cocaine in an fbi sting. he served six months in prison. despite all the turbulent

turned tragic when gunmen shot 12 people. as many as three of them stormed the party just after midnight. police say three victims are in critical condition. another that ran from the home was hit by a car and is stable in condition. it's still unclear if the shooting happened inside the home or outside. rescue crews say there were so many victims, there weren't enough ambulances to take them all to the hospital. walt disney world reopened a monorail system a di after a train operator died in a crash. after performing several test runs, it was reopened late this afternoon. officials are looking into whether or not safety rules were broken during the crash that killed the 21-year-old operator. no guests were seriously hurt. this is the first deadly crash in the monorail's 38-year history. the massachusetts mother accused of denying cancer treatment to her autistic son has pleaded not guilty in the

boy's death. kristen legree. her son had been diagnosed with leukemia. he was only 9 years old when he died in march. in south carolina, a small town in the grip of fear tonight as police try to stop a serial killer from striking again. the suspect has attacked three times in the past week, killing five people, including a 15- year-old girl. abc's viviana hurtado has the latest on the manhattan. >> reporter: this is the face of a serial killer according to cherokee county, south carolina authorities, which raised the reward for any information leading to the suspect's arrest. >> the serial killer just the definition. he could also be called a spree killer. but fact is that he is a cold blood murder. >> reporter: the first victim was 63-year-old peach farmer who was killed in his home. last wednesday a daughter and her retired mother were found bound and shot. thursday the owner of a home supply center was shot to death at his business. his 15-year-old daughter was also shot and later died at the

hospital. many in the community are terrified and have resorted to arming themselves. >> i've got one on me right now. i've got a 25 automatic with me right now. i'm going to be ready. >> you have no idea. you've got to be ahead of this man. >> it's very interesting. she going after people that are just kind of one of us. >> reporter: about 6'3" with salt and pepper hair, one witness who spoke with him before the shootings said he was polite. the investigation continues, which includes a possible break- in near gastonia, north carolina. according to the associated press, south carolina authorities are a on the scene of a burglary, where local police shot and killed a robbery suspect who may be linked to the south carolina slays. they're conducting ballistic testings to see if the bullets from the north carolina location match the crime scenes in south carolina. viviana hurtado, abc 2 news. certified baltimore's most

business. the number of stay at home dads are on the rise, and so are the mistakes. a look at the workweek forecast, all new at 5:30. >> thanks, kelly. we'll see you then. a look around the nation takes us to southeastern wisconsin, where fire crews worked through the night to put out a giant fire at a meat packing plant. people living within a mile of the plant were evacuated because of low ammonia levels in the air. as you can imagine, fire, smoke, and water did major damage to the plant. more than 100 firefighters tackled the fire. no one was hurt. still no word on what may have started it. after a day of floating on their capsized boat on lake erie, these four fishermen were finally rescued. it capsized from a wave. some think it may have come out of nowhere because the weather wasn't so bad at the time. the men were treated for hypothermia, and tonight they're all out of the hospital. you know, you might expect some ruffled feathers when these two animals cross paths, but surprisingly this duck is
