city campaign to inspire hope is just that posed with the remnants of despair. this san marked the beginning of last night's state of violence. >> when we heard the shooting, that's when i jumped up and came through the back and looked out here and the shooting was over with. people went over the place trying to get in the house. >> when in -- it was over 12 people were shot, including a 2- year-old and pregnant woman. all are expected to be okay. but it was only the beginning. police say around midnight another person was shot in a car at east baltimore and south bond streets. police say that was a retaliation of the stanley barbecue shooting as well as another one. a string of violence all in east because the more the mayor is -- baltimore.

>> while most of the people were is the at last net's barbecue, bullets were flying at other places leak the 200 block of north con lynn. two people were shot and both were killed. then on harper road in northeast baltimore one person was shot and taken to the hospital. they are expected to live. then two hours later on new hope circle one person was shot in the hand. the other man was shot in the leg. now to baltimore county where three people were killed when a car turned directly into the path of a street sweeper church. it happened on huntington boulevard -- boulevard and white marsh mall. the three occupants were burned beyond preace nietion. a long time baltimore cab driver is dead after an overnight accident.

witnesses say it was a situation of a drag racing gone wrong. >> reporter: coworkers say harvey brags was a polite driver, a nice man, trying to take care of his family but his well intentioned efforts were cut short by a deadly crash in the city. flipped on its side with the contents spilling all over the street. that's how cab number 198 ended its run in the city ending the life of driver harvey brags. >> i started crying. >> reporter: this worker at diamond cab got news in a caring phone call after midnight. it was a blow to hem and -- to him and others where brags worked. >> nobody could believe it, a nice driver. >> reporter: a nice driver killed by drag raising. one whom to didn't want to be seen on camera said brag's cab

was making a u-turn when it was slammed by a fast-moving car. >> they're crazing. young people acting crazy. they were drag racing down the street and the cab driver got struck. >> reporter: it threed the cab and left the cab driver lifeless. >> i cannot believe it. it's hard to believe. >> reporter: witnesses say they saw people jump from the car into another vehicle but police have not commented about that. workers at diamond cab said they're starting a collection to help brag's family. tonight people in parts of baltimore county are still cleaning up after last night's powerful storms and some folks are still shaken. >> and the lure of the wind and the rain hitting the windows. it's terrify huge lots of people still without -- terrifying. >> lots of people still without power. now the cleanup is on.

at the numbers. just over 5700 customers do not have power this evening. now to a disturbing story out of san antonio, texas. police say a woman accused of decapitating her 3 week old son used a knife, two swords and ate some of the body parts. the chief said the crime is too heinous to fully discuss but that she ate parts of the baby's brain, bit off three of his toes before stabbing herself twice. she told police she did it at the devil as request. -- devil's request. closing arguments began in the case of bonita jacks, the woman accused of killing her four daughters and living with the bodies for months. prosecutors said jacks create
