just pray that things will get better. >> reporter: better before anyone else gets caught in the cross fire. reporting for abc2 news. >> also in baltimore a deadly double shooting on north conklin around 10:30 last neat. another double shooting in southeast baltimore on new hope ser keel. authorities said two men were shot, one in the hand, the other in the leg. a pizza delivery man was also shot and robbed around 1:00 this morning in the 2800 block of harper road in northeast baltimore. police say they do not have any suspects. well, the high winds and heavy rain caused some pretty extensive damage in baltimore county. the storms knocked down 250

trees. some of the worst was at berryman's lane and church mills road. coach road and berryman's road was blocked for several hours. people who saw it said it was terrifying to watch. >> a combination of a roar and a thunderral at the same time. there was the thunder and leeting in and the -- lightning and the roar of the wind. >> the national weather service is attributing this to straightline winds although many folks said they thought they saw a funnel cloud. we checked with bge, more than 7,000 remain without power. 5600 are in baltimore county. this phone and through this evening we'll she very heavy shower activity. but on maryland's shore and down into virginia, look at

that figure. 5,325 lightning strikes, lightning strikes just within the past two hours. i mean, it is really rolling over there on the eastern shore just south of ocean city they had pretty heavy thundershower activity. early this afternoon they have a break. they have more heading in their direction. baltimore no precipitation and it should stay that way for the next 36 hours. scattered storms. our temperatures will be in the 80s for the next couple of hours. tomorrow should be precipitation free. when are the showers coming back? we'll fill that in. three people are dead after an early morning crash in white marsh at white marsh and honeygo boulevard. the street sweeper hit the vehicle. >> reporter: emergency rescue

units converged on the scene. they found any chance of a rescue had come and gone in a matter of seconds. >> unfortunately, three bodies are inside of that vehicle. they have been burned. they are deceased. we are trying to figure out where the body came from. >> reporter: police say the independent contractor had just completed his work at 5:00 in the morning when either he or the driver of the compact car must have run a red light at the intersection. >> the passenger vehicle was traveling westbound mon white marsh when it was making a left hand turn on honeygo boulevard. >> reporter: at this point investigators say they have three bodies burned beyond preace initial and very lit -- recognition and very little to go on. the car may have displayed paper temporary tags that burned when the car ignited into flames. the driver of the street

board with a heavy shower, again affecting the eastern shore. in the maryland area we'll be okay for tonight and the way it looks for tomorrow. but more activity down here heading in hour direction. that will be setting us up for heat and humidity coming through on wednesday through the rest of the week. baltimore, no precipitation. heavy shower activity over 9,000 lightning strikes. they're having a real good time down there. at ft. meade 86. as far as our forecast for tonight a few scattered showers are possible but highly unlikely. during the day tomorrow a pretty decent day. again, a slim chance for a shower but the best chance for showers comes in on wednesday. once it gets here it will stick around for the remainder of the week. in metro baltimore partly cloudy. we'll see some fog. 6 for the low during the day
