we have volume building between whitemarsh boulevard and providence road. however, through the harford county area or 95 northbound, expect the off-ramp to be closed at riverside parkway. a crash at the exit ramp. and pasadena, cloverhill and gre grenada road closed at the intersection. use geneva as an alternate. and route 7 at creswell avenue is closed because of flooding. in dundalk, there's a fire at north point lane. avoid that if possible. fayette and st. paul street, no problems to let you know about there. here on the outer loop at 695 at liberty road, we have -- excuse me, 95 southbound headed through howard county towards the capitol beltway, traffic flowing freely at this time. back to you. it's 6:30. it's bad. you see the reports for yourself every single morning on our air. >> today at noon people will leave their homes to make sure we understand their pain.

sherrie johnson has more on our top story about a violence rally to stop it. >> reporter: good morning. it was another violent weekend in the city of baltimore and today community leaders are holding a rally to fight against crime. last sunday 18 people were shot in five different incidents. this weekend more violence. on saturday police say someone walked into an auto store in the 2100 block of edmondson avenue and shot a man in the back of the head. he's right now in critical condition. also on saturday a teen was stabbed to death on north paca street, a suspect was caught a little while later. on sunday police say an unknown person pulled out a gun in the 800 block of allendale street and opened fire. 18-year-old man was shot in the back, he died at shock trauma. a 47-year-old man is recovering after a shooting near the edgewood/lindhurst recreation center. local officials say there needs to be a hard focus on families. >> some don't know how to reach out to the person.

if there were advocates, if there were a focus on people who are in the circumstance i think it will help all of us. >> reporter: the west baltimore coalition is holding a rally today at noon, edmondson avenue at the auto store where one of the victims was shot. a neighborhood vigil is also planned for saturday. sherrie johnson, abc2 news. time now 6:32. let's look at news around the nation. a fisherman recovering after being bitten by a shark. right now we don't have too many details but the coast guard has this video. they say it's a rescue helicopter pulling a man from his boat. about 65 miles southeast of new orleans. the 56-year-old victim is from mississippi. we do know he was fishing from his boat. no one is saying how the shark got to him. his condition is now unknown. >> mechanical failure of some kind i guess. everyone did the best they could do. coast guard number one. >> again, the coast guard to the rescue here in florida.

this time a tow-in of an 85 foot fishing boat when it lost power. the princess had 50 people on board for a fishing trip when it happened no one was hurt though a lot of passengers were very seasick. sad sight in the middle of an oregon street. a full grown horse collapsed and died while working. witnesses say the horse was pulling a carriage, a carriage that a newly wed couple was in. one person overheard the driver say she went against her best judgment to take the 23-year-old horse out that day. no word on exactly what killed that horse. we're going to have a rough landing here. tense moments in minnesota after five tires blew out on this northwest airlines jet. no passengers on board but 50 employees were in the plane at the time. it landed without crashing or going off the runway. aviation officials noted the planes have dual wheels like semis that keep them stable if the tires do blow out. there's a big to-do list for today's hearing dealing

with a number of issues linked to michael jackson's estate and family issues. at least one hurdle was cleared last week with the covet key agreement -- custody agreement between jackson's mother and debbie rowe, the biological mother of the two older kids. today's hearing may decide the status of the two men controlling the popular estate. filings show the two already received $5.5 million and took possession of much of michael jackson's property. a someday full of music -- a day full of music and fun cut short in tragedy. >> what caused a tent to collapse during a music festival that attracts thousands he said he won the lottery. then he lost it. how heeds still hoping to get the jackpot. still a relatively mild 70 degrees. we make a few runs for 90 this week. we'll talk about that next. let's see what's happening on the roads with kim. ? all the southbound routes are flowing freely at this time as

planned for next saturday. sherrie johnson, abc2 news. in northwest baltimore a man was shot by police when they say he lunged at them with a screw driver. police say officers walked in on the man as he was robbing a convenience store in northwest baltimore early saturday morning. the suspect was reportedly wearing a mask when he lunged at the officer. the officer fired one shot hitting the map in the head. right now police have not released his name. 6:48. decades after being shot down on the first night of the 1991 gulf war the remains of a navy pilot have been found in the iraqi desert. michael speicher's body was found when an iraqi citizen led marines to his grave where he had apparently been buried. without a body some believe he had been captured. the president says he hopes the recovered remains will give the pilot's family a sense of closure. three men's who crossed -- three americans who crossed the border from iraq into iran are in custody this morning. they were captured by military forces. the swiss embassy is now acting for the united states, looking

for answers on the three americans. the stories are conflicting. in iran the tv stations there say the three were warned not to cross the bod border. shane bower, sarah shroud, and josha fatal, a environmental worker in oregon, reportedly curious about his father's native land of iraq. >> i think there's a decent chance iran will portray these three as spies and leave it up to the united states or the three individuals to prove their innocence. >> family members hope that the americans will not be used as bargaining chips. fatal's father wrote a statement to abc news saying currently we're only concerned about the well being of joshua and the other two people. we hope they come home as soon as possible. the music stopped early for a four-day festival that attracts 25,000 people a day. canada's largest country music festival called off after an

outdoor thunderstorm caused the outdoor stage to collapse. one person was killed, 70 were injured. actor kevin costner was caught under the stage but wasn't hurt. while investigators believe weather is to blame for the collapse this morning they are still looking into whether the construction of the stage played a role. as the obama administration deals with the growing deficit top economic aides have not ruled out there could be a future tax increase to deal with this problem. nobody likes to hear that. but tim geithner says that the economy to grow over the long term administration will have to bring the deficits down while the economic council director larry summers says health care overhaul will have to come from somewhere. there will be a veterans town hall forum to discuss health care reform in baltimore. congressman elijah cummings plans to be in attendance. the forum is set for today at 5:00 at the veterans center for education and training, 201

north high street. 372 pitches. that is the equivalent to four little league games. the football preseason still weeks away but we got a taste of it at camden yards. the red sox beat the os yesterday 18-10. with the win the red sox sweep the entire weekend series. boston has a total of 28 runs and 47 hits. they have now beaten the orioles 11 times in 13 tries. the orioles left -- the orioles are just 2-5 on the home stand. now the orioles go to detroit -- >> hey. that's why they are there. joe flacco has his main target back. derrick mason ended his retirement and came back to a standing ovation in westminster. linda so, with more on what you think about this. >> reporter: there are plenty of ravens fans out here at the 7-eleven in carney.

they say this is great news for a monday morning. derek derrick mason's comeback just the pick me up they need. the star receiver announced retirement three weeks ago but since had a change of heart. he was back on the field sunday for first practice with the ravens and despite the rain fans were delighted to see him. the 35-year-old pro bowler said his family was the main reason he decided to retire. that decision came not long after the unexpected death of former teammate steve mcnair. after numerous calls and visits from teammates and coaches mason changed his mind. fans say they can't wait nor a great season. >> for the last six years i've seen the ravens go up and down. last year with joe flacco coming on i was really excited because i saw how he played. it was all about the ravens. then when they just lost that one little game, we all kind of felt really bad. i'm excited that mason is
