[ laughter ] things aren't too bad for us right now. we're seeing a little bit of hazy sunshine. it's kind of humid out there. and we may see some thunderstorms yet tonight. let's take a look at what is happening right now.
5:47 pm
you can see some hazy sunshine. it's not too bad. we still have sun, it's just a little bit of light cover over top. relative humidity 59%. wind is light and variable at 6 miles an hour. conditions on the bay for tomorrow, there is your high and low tide information. and the wind out of the northeast 5 to 10 miles per hour. take a look. maryland's most powerful local radar showing quite a bit of storm activity, especially on the eastern shore. we're also seeing a little bit just south of baltimore. just south of the city. but especially over on the eastern shore. and now starting to develop in parts of cecil county also. just seeing a little bit of thunderstorm activity. it's not severe or even strong level just yet. and as far as the rain amounts, we're seeing northeast already picking up almost 2/10 of an inch. easton seeing nearly half an inch out of the storms that have just been in the last hour or so. bel air picking up little as well. for most part it's another night of widely scattered shower and thunderstorm activity. some will see it. some will not.
5:48 pm
84 in baltimore. 73 in easton. you can tell where the thunderstorm has been through. 84 degrees in york, pennsylvania. 79 in hagerstown. it feels like we're int the upper 80s. 88 in baltimore is what it feels like. and it feels like 91 in ocean city. taking a look at the satellite radar composite, a couple of high as well as mid level clouds throughout the day today. have a little bit of activity coming through. this is just from the day time heating because the air is so juicy. and as it gets warmer, then things start to pop a little bit. we have this same trend continuing for the next couple days. now out to the west of us, you see all that clear sky out there across the midwest. that is what will be coming our way, and possibly bringing us some dryer relief from this humidity by the time we hit the weekend. we have a cold front that has stalled out across the eastern seaboard. what happens is that makes things a little unstable for us, as well as a bermuda high out in the atlantic ocean that continues to put that heat and humid into the region and makes things unstable too.
5:49 pm
once those two features start to go away, then that high pressure can come in from the west and make things a little more comfortable for us. taking a look at the extended forecast, we can see a couple showers and thunderstorms possible for us tonight, then things clear out pretty nicely throughout tomorrow. but again, as the daytime heating cooks up, we'll see a couple the thunderstorms moving in. same thing for friday. the clouds start to move in late in the day. so for tonight, overnight 67 degrees for the overnight low. mostly cloudy, a couple scattered storms around. and for tomorrow, a high of 83 degrees. mostly cloudy, some showers and thunderstorms around. and for the next seven days, the muggies continue, at least until friday. then saturday and sunday, we still have warm temperatures, but we should be a little dry and comfortable. as we head into the early part of next week, we're still looking at warmer temperatures. the humidity is going to creep back into the forecast as we head into tuesday and into wednesday. back to you. >> all right, susan, thank you. remember this abc 2
