now the forecast certified baltimore's most accurate by weather rate, and maryland's most powerful doppler radar. >> a pop-up showers today. >> no. we've been staying dryer out there, terry. and yeah, it's muggy. and it will be getting hotter this weekend. but by august standards, this is not record-setting stuff or anything. >> i'm not complaining. >> no complaints here. we'll be wishing for these days come november and december. the hot summer days. let's take a look outside right now. gorgeous, gorgeous afternoon on the inner harbor. a great weekend to get out on the boat, because i just don't see much in the way of a lot of wind, a lot of chop. so i think we're looking good on the water for all the boaters out there. and of course, the best boat, the one your friend owns, right? you just bring the beverages and you're good to go. 84 degrees at bwi. humidity 53%. that's definitely up there. the dew point is pushing 70. so it is muggy out. no doubt about that. let's take a look at the sunshine that we have been

seeing today. mixing in with some fair weather cumulus clouds as you see for damascus and time lapse photography there. 80 degrees at the moment and nice clearing as we go late into the afternoon. ocean city, maryland looking at a great weekend down at the beach there. boy, terrific, actually. 84 degrees saturday. partly cloudy. i think we'll be up around 86 or so on sunday. the slight chance for thunderstorms exists more so at the beach this weekend because of a system that is down in virginia beach, down in the carolinas. i think it will be just a little more unsettled in ocean city, but as long as you're not headed south into say the eastern shore of virginia, toward accomack county, i think you're going to be find at the beach this weekend. low temperatures this morning 67 at bwi. we only dropped to 70 or so in hagerstown. so there has been some muggy evenings here. we'll keep those through the weekend. really not window open, more the air conditioner variety. and 84 the high today. so not anything to write home about by august standards. we've seen nice clear weather throughout the afternoon.
5:48 pm
really nothing on the radar. you have to get way south. might have one stray shower here over toward talbot county this afternoon. and this is about it on maryland's most powerful radar. take you out to the broader view. if it retro grades or backs up, comes from east to west, which will be unusual, it could bring a few more clouds into baltimore this weekend. it could bring a better chance for a shower into ocean city. you see most of that really active weather off of north carolina, well off to our south. it should stay there as high pressure continues to build in slowly from the west. should it continue to hold the showers at bay, just out of the maryland region. so forecast in motion here, across the midatlantic, you'll see that. watch as we go into saturday afternoon. yes, some active weather down here in southern virginia, but it doesn't quite creep into our neck of the woods. sunday afternoon, a similar deal. a couple of showers toward norfolk, virginia beach, but here in baltimore we're not seeing much. maybe a few more clouds sunday afternoon, and an isolated shower. but most of that weather
5:49 pm
staying off to our south, which is good news. bay forecast, again, talking than top there. i think a great weekend to get out on the boat. you got to enjoy these. light breeze, less than a foot of chop. water temperature right now about 81 degrees. you jump off to boat into the water and enjoy some pleasant water temperatures. 67 overnight tonight into the city. partly cloudy. it stays muggy. but i think we will stay dry. into the day tomorrow, lots of sunshine mixing in with fair weather clouds. 88 degrees for the high temperature. it does start to get a little hotter tomorrow afternoon. and i think into the afternoon on sunday, you'll see hotter weather still, right around 90 or so late in the afternoon. not that bad for august standards. 90, 91 the early part of next week with a decent amount of sunshine on tap. good towards wednesday and on into the end of next week. terry? >> thanks, wyatt. as the kids get ready to head back to school, one of the first expenses parents face are the fees for class photos. if the school is taking the pictures, they're usually pretty reasonable. but abc 2 consumer reporter
