let's see what's happening on the roads with kim. >> good morning. as you look at 95 southbound approaching whitemarsh boulevard traffic is flowing freely at this time as you make your way to the 695/895 split. no problems to let you know about at either the harbor tunnel or fort mchenry tunnel, however we have a couple of lane blockages, for construction going on overnight. one at 395 southbound before i-95, right lane blocked. and eastbound route 50 in talbot county approaching route 662, right lane closed there, no real delays or problems at this time. at the jfx at cold spring lane, traffic is moving along nicely there. back to you. 10:00 saturday night at the inner harbor, fans leaving the orioles game, families getting ice cream, shots fired. a frustrated mayor and police commissioner. abc2 news linda so on what it will take to keep us safe down there. >> reporter: both the mayor and police commissioner are calling for a more aggressive police crackdown and today that's what you can expect to

see at the inner harbor. it's in response to estate -- saturday night's double shooting in the light street paflan near phillips seafood restaurant, a 20-year-old shot in the leg, a teenaged boy shot in the arm. according to "the baltimore sun" the commissioner says both victims are suspected members of the bloods gang. the shooting apparently broke out after members of the bloods and cripps got into a fight. this follows a troubled summer at the inner harbor. a number of assaults by young people had police boosting patrols. some say they won't come back to the inner harbor. others say they will. >> i like it here >> it's not going to change my opinion about the inner harbor. we would still come back. >> reporter: so far there have been no arrests in the case. if you have any information on the shootings you're asked to call baltimore police at 410-396-2411. linda so, abc2 news.

ocean city officials say they are going to be looking at tweaking the law requiring carbon monoxide detectors in hotels. three people were hospitalized and others sickened after a c.o. leak last week at the seven-story americana hotel. the hotel didn't have carbon monoxide detectors. let's go overseas. a report on a powerful earthquake off the coast of indonesia. the magnitude 6.7 tremor was located on the sea floor west of sumatra. the quake briefly did prompt a tsunami warning but there are no reports of any damage and no deaths. rescue efforts continue at the hour in taiwan. people still stranded by last week's typhoon, at least 35,000 "people are talking" have been rescued. , officials believe the death toll could go up. and some people were buried by mudslides in some villages. people are forced to live in temporary shelters in stadiums and tent cities. in moscow two russian air force jets collided while

when she was in his class. court documents indicate the girl's mother suspected something was going on and put in a recorded telephone call to jackson from a police station. jackson allegedly admitted having sex with the girl one time. olympic gold medalist michael phelps back in training mode today though he's suffering a sore ankle from the crash that happened thursday night. baltimore city police say phelps was driving with an invalid out of state license but the accident wasn't his fault. investigators determined that the other driver caused the accident when she ran a red light. if i told you to put on a helmet, strap in your car, hit the pedal and go as fast as you can on key highway you would think it's friday night at 5:00. but speed is coming to baltimore. sherrie johnson has more. >> reporter: sometimes driving around downtown baltimore can feel like you're on a racetrack. today there will be a news conference to announce a real racetrack coming to baltimore. the baltimore grand prix. the race is coming to baltimore

this morning becoming the first to hit the u.s. mainland this year. it's expected to bring up to six inches of rain in parts of the panhandle, alabama and southwestern georgia getting up to 10 inches. let's go to meteorologist susan schrack. >> good morning. look like a nice start for us. a little on the quiet side. a little haze. temperature now at 70 degrees, relative humidity 90%. winds calm, barometric pressure is on the way down. temperatures around the state, looking at 74, that is downtown. 67 perry hall. 70 fallston. 70 havre de grace. but it feels like we're a lot warmer than that. feels like upper to mid-70-degree range. it's sticky this morning. satellite and radar shows we have a couple of high thin clouds around. for the most part that will burn off. we'll also see a little patchy fog around for the morning commute. for the most part this will burn off nicely and looking at relatively clear skies for the

rest of the day. the forecast shows we have a decent condition today. by tuesday we're still looking at nice conditions. a front comes through by wednesday. that could bring us a chance for unsettled weatherable some storms coming into the forecast. at the tropics, it's active, this is the peak of the hurricane season. tropical storm claudette made landfall in florida and the panhandle. it's moving into alabama throughout the day today. dumping anywhere from three so six inches, widespread as far as the rain is concerned, could see locally heavy amounts, up to 10 inches. let's look farther out into the atlantic, looking at tropical depression ana the winds are 35 miles per hour. not real impressive now but look at the track this storm will be taking. most likely track has it coming right towards florida and in towards the panhandle. much like this storm claudette has done. so be aware of that. and hurricane bill, this is our first hurricane of the season. winds of 75 miles per hour. pressure 29.15.
