hospitals. if you saw anything give them a call. >> the latest on 2, 16-year- olds accused of shooting an off duty police officer last week. they have been denied bail and will remain at central booking. both charged with attempted murder of aaron harris the baltimore city detective off duty when the teens tried to rob him. he is in stable but critical condition. the teens will be back in court october 8th. all three people accused of that racially motivated beating in south baltimore have pled not guilty. attorneys for them entered pleas yesterday. all three charged with brutally assaulting a man 76 years old. this happened last month while he was fishing in south baltimore. the member of a white supremacist group told police the attack would not have happened if the person had been

white. 5:32 a.m. university of maryland basketball player under arrest after turning himself into police in connecticut. he is wanted for assault in his hometown. he was released on a promise to appear in court october 5. he was one of the top 10 players in the state of connecticut. a cell phone tower made the look like a tree. verizon thinks it is a good compromise but not everyone is happy. the company hopes to build an 80-foot tower in the sparks area but valley planning crown sill is fighting the -- council is fighting the proposal because it is a national historic area and scenic route. they say it will stick out like a sore thumb. >> to blend in cleanlessly, no bottle brushes sticking out >> by the time you take it and

middle school expecting to receive a check for $50,000. this is to keep kids fit and prevent childhood obesity. they are pairing with governor oh ma'amly. this is called -- o'malley. this is to keep children in school. the idea is to get children to work out 60 minutes a day. they will lead students through fitness tests. this is one of four middle schools nationwide receiving this grant. matt and brandon are role models for students. >> i think it is exciting. i think they recognize players on the field on sundays that they don't know what goes into it. and the players are working out every day of the week. they have only one day off

autumn and winter like pattern here where it would typically bring -- well, dare i say snow showers across the great lakes. rain showers across from ontario and on in through new york state but otherwise area of low pressure will sit and spin and drag down some of this chilly canadian air across the great lakes and filter it in. while clouds are locked up into the mountains, those clouds will work their way back across through the afternoon and that is why we expect our afternoon to turn partly to mostly cloudy. showers line up back towards pittsburgh and up state new york. we should stay dry, maybe a sprinkle but the showers line up across the mountains will stay there. we just stay with the added cloud cover and chilly temperatures next couple of days and dry things out and break things up as we head through thursday and friday. turning partly to mostly cloudy in the afternoon after some sun to start us off. only 69 degrees and winds gusting to 20 miles per hour.
