youth violence which is a serious issue in baltimore city. last friday, police arrested, a 14-year-old for, a record and killed the man but not before taking just $7 his cell phone. the safe streets program is a national public education initiative. it offers activities to show young people the positive the influence they can have in the community and stop the violence. yesterday received a 1 million murder in the second degree $1 million grant. >> because we do have enforcement programs we have reentry programs, we have a program, the safe streets targets young people who are either at risk of carrying a gun at risk of being the victim of gun violence, to help them change their decision making. >> progress has been made to

it is 5:39. a lot of you would probably like to forget monday but this is the way it looked looking northbound and it looked like one cloud was hanging on top of baltimore. we even this thunder storms building through the area and it didn't seem to let up, just increased during the course of the afternoon.

but overnight, we finally were able to break those clouds and although it doesn't look like it we are looking from stevenson university from clear to partly cloudy skies, down to hah 45á. you notice the wind at 21 miles per hour. we've had gusty wind and it is unfortunate we will probably have a repeat today, with a cool down, instead of hitting the low 60s. we will probably aim for 57 this afternoon, those clouds buildup quickly and showers maybe a thunderstorm this afternoon and winds gusting to about 30 miles per hour. after today, a nice break for the middle of the week and we will talk about that in just a bit. let's see what is happening on the roads with the notorious. thank, justin. good morning, around our area, baltimore metro is looking pretty good. we don't have too many problems as we peak at our drive times you will see they're really normal with light to moderate not very long to make your way around the area, 95 northbound, between route 100, taking you nine minutes this morning, pretty clear between 70 and route 32 and on the outer loop
