it is a lot of fun. >> reporter: according to a national study of educational statistics, 13% of elementary schools don't require recess. by the looks of these kids here i don't think making them do recess would be a problem. i'm don harrison for abc 2 news. important recall for parent s tonight in consumer alert. one million baby slings by infantino were recalled after being linked to three infant deaths. recall involves infantino sling rider. contaminated chocolate milk has left some west frederick middle school students really sick. after two students who drank the milk said they felt nauseous a dairy processer said

breezy, mild weather will be the rule. better weather again tomorrow. by tomorrow night into friday it all takes a big change. we'll break that down in a couple. five teenager whose seem to vanished from the face of the earth in 1978 have been accounted for. according to the prosecutors in new jersey who say the young men died together in a brutal multiple murder. lindsay davis tells us the cold case has haunted their families for a generation. >> reporter: 32 years after her brother michael went missing terry mcdowell sat in a new jersey courtroom and face the two men who prosecutors say burned her brother and four others to death. >> on august 20, 1978 five teenager boys played a game of baseball. the boys were o corralled at bun and restrained. >> reporter: late monday police

arrested a 56-year-old and 53- year-old after one of the longest missing person's cases ever in new jersey. at the time of the crime, evans told police he dropped the boys office at a street corner near an ice cream parlor. >> i have always felt that he was responsible. >> reporter: helen collected every newspaper article since her nephew michael disappeared. >> it doesn't change anything. that's the sadness of it. >> reporter: the abandoned house was detried in the blaze. five bodies were never found. >> the motive was a result from marijuana being stolen from the boys a few days earlier. >> reporter: the break in the case came when a witness with direct knowledge of the murders came forward. police said they never looked

at the matter as a homicide but always treated it as a missing person's case. lindsay davis new york. a new york man has been sentenced to life in prison for a 1999 rape in maryland that was found after dna evidence. investigators noticed dna from the victim had not been added to the national dna database. once it was added investigatorred were linked to mays. he'll serve a sentence in maryland after he is released from prison in new york. in ann arundel county police solved a colds case of rape. donald of wisconsin is charged with rape, assault and stalking. a 13-year-old girl was walking home when she was assaulted and rape. dna led them no the man. he is currently in custody in

www.wisconsin and will be vozp returned to maryland. let's take a look at tonight's top stories. the truck driver involved in yesterday's light rail crash in hunt valley. the 53-year-old drove his tractor trailer into the train's path. the train operator was seriously hurt. he was in stable condition tonight. two passengers on the train were also injured. more than 600 baltimore city employees and 120 police officers and 90 firefighters will loose their jobs under a budget plan by the mayor. city faces $121 million budget deficit. under stephanie rawlings blake's plan the police hospital and marine unit will be caught -- cut. officers on s.w.a.t. teams will be laid off. they'll continue to restate closures. the mayor proposed

that u.s. sales of new homes were lower than expected. dow dropped 53 points. nasdaq dropped almost 16.5. s&p 500 almost 6.5 as well. walmart says it is rolling back food prices to help struggling shoppers. they'll find thousands of reduced prices on every day staple item. a spokesperson says the chain is making a few upgrades to the grocery section layout to compete with stores like krogher. well, with spring in full swing you are probably not thinking of summer travel plans yet. maybe you should be. some major airlines are offering big deals. jet blue is offering $58 wound trip within california. $78 on the east coast. frontier airlines has fares as low as $98 round trip between denver and the west coast.

charlottesville. balmy stuff. around the beaches winds up around 20. maryland's radar all cleared. state-wide we detect nothing. ground clutter here on the eastern shore. that's not rain. this is going to be the case tonight, tomorrow into at least tomorrow evening when we'll see showers in the radar picture. cloud cover this afternoon beginning to come in out of the west but bringing in rain with it. few thin clouds this evening. no big deal. tomorrow a mixture of sun and clouds. tomorrow is the next weather maker already bringing rain to iowa and chicago. again it will take another 24- hours to get here. in the meantime high pressure keeps us mild and dry into the evening and early part of the day tomorrow. forecast model. we begin to bring the weather maker across the country through the day tomorrow. it is going to again, be relatively dry across baltimore. at least through 5:00 tomorrow. i'm optimistic we'll get the evening rush hour tomorrow with
