you're watching the station that works for you. abc 2 news at 5:30. breaking news out of dundalk tonight. one person is dead after a house fire in the 7400 block of east battle grove road. what's it looking like out there right now? >> reporter: i can tell you that investigators with fire and police are still on the scene here. they are going through the small shore home. to look at the home there is really no apparent fire damage but it is inside, according to investigators. it was contained to the living area primarily and that is where the victim's body was discovered around 2:30 this afternoon. neighbors and friends knew him as buddy. one friend tells me he lived on his boat so he finds it strange he was inside the home at all.

for inner city children. the school has served the needs of african americans since 1890. >> i know these children and i know what we're doing for them. i have to try to protect that. >> reporter: some applaud him but question whether his hid to keep money from the offertory plate will have impact. a spokesman for the archdiocese says his campaign can back fire. >> the less money that comes in the less money we have to put into schools and other projects that fulfill our mission. >> the plans call for children from father charles hall to attend a new school this fall. many parents fear they won't be
