there have been reports questioning whether or not city council president jack young actually lives in baltimore city or in the district that he represents. good evening everyone. i'm roosevelt leftwich. today the politician believes he finally answer had the accusation by a media organization. brian visited the house where jack lives. >> reporter: on a quiet tree-lined street in east baltimore, city council president jack young had an open house. >> it doesn't make sense. >> reporter: inside young shows us around. from personal affects to the

dining room, to the bathroom. >> my razor. >> reporter: even his bedroom closet. >> this is lived-in for you? >> uh-huh. >> reporter: it all seems silly but after weeks of being accused not living in the city he runs he felt the need to open his home. this is the address listed on all city council forms. the question is whether or not the council president uses this home an inquiry backed up by a low water bill for the address. he showed us that bill admitting he doesn't use the address that much. he makes more of a home in this house, literally around the corner i live in baltimore city. i don't know what the issue is. i really don't. i wanted to put it to rest. >> reporter: young says he owns both homes for safety reasons. he had the east madison home since 1978. he says he challenged drug dealers one time on the corner. they threatened him and he reacted by moving his family around the corner.

for ten days in the current fiscal year. republican delegate wants attorney general to be impeached. his request has been rejected. it comes on recognizing out of state gay marriages. it was a 14-6 unfavorable vote. malicia members charged in an alleged plot to kill police officers were in court in michigan and indiana today. nine people are being held without bond all accused of a plan to kill and ambush police officer. they were part of the christian malicia. they were planning to lure a officer to a location with a 9- 1-1 call. the group planned to use explosive devices to kill more people at the officer's funerals. now for a look at tonight's top stories. 23-year-old volunteer firefighter has died from meningitis. first case in carroll county

this year. matt true died earlier this month after going to the hospital with a headache and fever. no one knows where he may have contracted the infection. but members of the volunteer fire company have cleaned and disinfected the entire building. people are still talking about former governor's robert urlich's decision to go after his old job. governor martin o'malley says he's looking forward to the upcoming campaign centered around moving maryland forward. there has been an outpouring of support around the country for a father of a fallen marine. appeals court ordered snider to pay $16,000 in appeals cost to the church. people are fired up about this. bill o'reilley offered to pay his appeals costs last night. baltimore city is teaming up with the parks for a big restoration project. they approved the project in

the park. it will restore the superintendant's mansion, grounds which sits on nine acres. the goal is to turn it into an urban ecological center for use of educational programming. there will be walking trails as well. >> we are really interested in improving public health in the city. parks are a wonderful way to do this giving communities access to recreational trails. >> construction on the project starts at the end of this year. it is expected to take 14 months to complete. if you want good news look at the window. blue skies. beautiful weather. that's going to continue into the easter weekend here. we couldn't have set the stage any better on the weather front. let's look outside. clouds clearing the area earlier this morning. after that it was nothing but sunshine all day long. still a bit of a breezy day. other than that it is tough to complain.
