look at that. we can barely see those lights across the parking lot from anne arundel community college. this is the current set-up. no doubt 100% humidity and very light wind. this is the latest live image from your harbor. that fog level on the low clouds getting lower and lower. losing the tops of the buildings. fog is thicker, just outside of downtown. we're looking at 40s across the area. fog advisory through 9:00. we'll break sun out and go to 70 this afternoon. right now, let's see what's happening on the roads. just hold your patience. kim has a lot to talk about. >> actually, it could be worse. a lot of the major roadways are checking in for the most part, incident free. we don't have anything working around 695. 95 also looking good this morning. volume delays making things sluggish. clear past the baltimore

economy while encouraging consumers to save energy with more efficient appliances. and right now i have met dawson with best buy stories here. good morning. >> good morning. >> what do you think about this rebate program? >> i think it's a great program to help our customers save additional money on energy efficient products and really get them into the new saving mode with these appliances. >> reporter: we talked to jeanine earlier. she was here bright and early. she said she got a good deal on a washer. what are you offering consumers to save? >> most of our appliances are on sale right now. you can save $200 right off the bat, plus the 50 to $150 for the super efficient product she got. so another $350 she'll be saving. >> excellent. thanks for taking to us. take a look at your screen. let's show you how this works.

disgusted right away. sit down and open this movie and uh, it wasn't sherlock holmes. everything went pretty surreal fast. you don't believe it's going to happen. >> she says the movie was going to entertain children. well, thankfully she got it before any young eyes viewed its contents. wal-mart replaced the tampered with dvd for the real thing. the company is still trying to figure out what happened. the wal-mart spokesmen says returned dvds are never placed back on the store shelves. how about this? he's only four years old, but he's well on his way to becoming the next fire chief. grease spilled onto open flames in a kitchen stove. the little guy's mom tried to put it out but couldn't. she called the fire department and when the kids went to get out of the house.

20 minutes away from 7:00. florida police have showed a driver running down and killing two british tourists last year. the driver was charged last month. the suspect called his friend who met him at a gas station where he ditched the car. a new study out says motorcycle deaths are down and it appears the economy, not helmet laws are the reason. a 56% drop in deaths last year

compared to this year. 530 fewer deaths than last year. the decline is due in part to a cutback in recreational driving by motorcyclists. ben roethlisberger is out for more than six games. the two-time super bowl champion quarterback must undergo an evaluation by medical proceeds. he could be back on good behavior by week five if he does well. get rid of that old refrigerator, stove and washing machine and you could get serious cash today. >> reporter: i'll tell you about a new rebate program coming up. it was a happy reunion for some families this morning. the search continues for 11 other people after an oil rig explosion. we'll have the very latest for you. plus: we'll have the latest on the baltimore county skating rink. do county officials think it's too risky to stay open?

county. this is stevenson university. we can barely see across that parking lot as well. 47, tucked in the valley off green tree valley road. original stevenson campus. 47 degrees. their fog is matched in other spots. ellicot city, veterans elementary. they're at 43. we should be able to see it again in the parking lot off the top of the view. not everybody dealing with it. if you live in a place like sparrows point, you look outside at the high school. 51 and just a few clouds, not a big deal. you turn the corner and you may run into that. it could be a real problem to see traffic ahead of you. definitely seeing some of those exit signs on the highways and traffic signals. thick fog the issue. it extends back west. up north, 83 to york county. down towards d.c., eastern shore. one-hour school delay. we have ourselves a 90-minute delay in queen ann's county. we have fog because of the leftover moisture in the

evening. clear skies overnight. provided perfect conditions to cool down the air to the point we can't sustain that moisture anymore. we build up these low ground clouds. we'll build in clouds back this afternoon after sunshine returns. holding off the main moisture until this weekend. once we get the advisory out at 9:00, 70 degrees this afternoon. we'll check out the weekend forecast in just a moment. let's see what's happening on the roads as we wrap it up for you. >> you'll see fog warnings in place at some of the area bridges. including the bay bay bridge and hatem bridge this morning. fog warnings in effect for all of 895. expect some delays as you make your way around so far. you'll see slow and sluggish traffic from 95 here on the jfx. look at that. you can almost barely see the roadways, uh, people are reducing their speeds. pretty significantly. keep that in mind before you head out. couple incidents we're working. 83 from shawan towards the beltway. top side of the outer loop,

appliance rebate program. it's modeled after the cash for clunkers program. this program is designed to stimulate the economy while encouraging consumers to save energy with more efficient appliances. the cash for appliances program kicks off today in conjunction with earth day. is this a government federal cash for appliances economic incentive program. right now i have ruth joining me live here, she's from bge. can you tell me, how do you know if your appliance's qualify? if someone wants to get something, how do they know if bge will participate with this program? >> first of all, you can get a rebate from bge on any energy star refrigerator or clothes washer. to get the supplemental rebates, go online to bgesmartenergy.com or talk to the sales rep at the retailer where you're buying your appliance. >> since all of these energy

to their destinations. we talked to two other relief passengers who were on board the british airways flight. 300 soldiers came in on another flight shortly after that. they couldn't wait to get home. >> going home and playing with my dogs and hanging out and eating. >> airline officials are questioning the government's response to the ash clouds. richard branson says he thinks planes could have flown sooner if they'd been allowed to fly and see if the ash was dangerous. losses will top $2 billion. 80% of the flights are up in the air and operating now. today the viewing will be held for former baltimore archbishop william borders. he died on monday of colon cancer. he was 96 years of age. a public viewing for the archbishop will be held at 10:30 this morning.

an oil rig explosion in the gulf of mexico, researchers are still searching for about 11 workers, a total of 126 workers were aboard the rig when it blew up. 17 of them went to the hospital. four lists in critical condition. the coast guard hopes the 11 missing workers escaped on covered life boats. the president invited senate leaders from both parties to the white house. resignation of john paul stevens. the president is said to be considering about 10 people. and among the new names on the list, you have federal appeals court judge, ann williams from chicago. after yesterday's meeting the president said he wants a nominee who respects the rights of women and the privacy of their bodies. he said he won't enforce any litmus test on abortion rights. all new this morning: just 90 minutes, 90 minutes before a final deadline. the owners of skate works hammered out a deal with

baltimore county officials to keep the wood lawn rink open. negotiations lasted most of yesterday, but owners agree to hire uniformed police officers on weekend nights and close at midnight. around 4:30 yesterday afternoon, they were issued a rink license to operate for another year. the rink opened back in 2008 but since then, police have complained about rowdy crowds and disturbances outside the rink and were threatening to shut it down. constellation energy is putting a new twist on bring your child to work day. the company says the children will then spend the rest of the afternoon shadowing their moms and dads at work. constellation will plant a tree outside its headquarters and give each child a tree to plant at home. this earth day you can help the environment by planting a
