week ahead and look at a big storm off to our south, coming up. tonight's top stories -- an autopsy is being performed to determine what killed a 6 week old infant in laurel. anne arundel county police say that joel was found unresponsive with no signs of trauma on saturday morning. a neighbor called police after a woman knocked on the door crying for help. a blair family wants answers in the -- bel air family wants answers in the mysterious disappearance of their son. police found the remains of michael hogan three years after he went missing from a recovery and therapeutic facility in shrewsbury, vermont. authorities ruled out foul play but michael's father reached tout a forensic -- out to a forensic specialist at towson university to see if she could help. she hopes to find some answers about his death. is the bottle tax back? a city council vote is expected on the beverage tax tonight. last week city council members said support for the tax was drying up but council members

home they shared. british screen writer simon monjack, police say died of natural causes, no signs of foul play according to police. brittany murphy collapsed in the home five days before christmas. two people and a pit bull recovering after a suv jumped the curb, this happened in northwest baltimore. it happened in the 4800 block of reisterstown road. police say the suv skidded, jumped the curb hitting three people and the dog. a woman was taken to shock trauma in serious condition. a man is also in serious condition at sinai hospital. the third person involved refused treatment. police say the driver who is not the owner of the suv fled the scene. the cause of the crash now is under investigation. the university of maryland college park is closing a main part of its campus this summe to make it more pedestrian friendly. the school is temporarily shutting campus drive to cole field house and union drive.

usually in bed by now. we're going to see a similar day tomorrow. warm ing up later this week. outside now not too bad, 77 degrees. take a sail in the harbor, water temperatures will be cooler than the air temperature in a couple of days. 77, humidity high at 66 -- our cloud cover in baltimore was heavy and thick in the afternoon. blue skies at times. then the clouds would roll right back. we're going to stay unsettled here but i think generally not a lot of rain the next couple days. dc today, wild sky but some clearing as we worked into the latter part of the afternoon. moisture still spinning from the south and east keep the clouds around the next few days on and off but i think we'll see more sunshine tomorrow. temperaturewise upper 70s now. 67 in dover. a little cooler down along ocean city as well. southeast breeze kind of cooling things down there but for the most part here, upper

70s with relatively high humidity, keeping it feeling a little muggy out there. not bad but muggy. 66. look at that humidity in easton, nearly 80% there. that feels muggy. our winds now generally out of the south and light, not enough to give you much of a relief there from the humidity. just a light southerly breeze. clouds earlier this morning, overcast skies. then a few breaks in the clouds through the afternoon. a couple of showers drifting in off the ocean now really. see a couple of peppered showers here over the northern and eastern shore, in cecil county, not much though going on in baltimore and much of the central part of the state actually in sunshine now. but as we look at a broader view you can see what is going on. different weather pattern now, a retrograded system. storm system offshore, possibly could become a tropical storm later in the week not much of a chance but a slim one for that, as it continues to spin the clouds our way and bigtime showers and storms flaring up across the carolinas now. in the meantime, it's a lot of warm air surging in. you'll really notice that

change as we go towards webs -- wednesday and thursday, temperatures could push up closer to 90 degrees. our forecast model holding that storm generally off to the south at this point in time. that could change but if that holds up decent sunshine around tomorrow. a few more clouds wednesday, the chance of showers wednesday, too. as a boundary rolls in from the north. and that storm looks like stays off to our south. we'll be kind of in the squeeze play there. overnight, 62, showers come to an end. what few showers that we have out there, mainly to the east of baltimore. tomorrow, up to 78, partly sunny skies. still be a chance of a shower but a slim one tomorrow. i think generally dry and again i think we'll see a little more sunshine breaking through tomorrow afternoon. tomorrow night clearing but still mild. then as we roll into the next few days here temperature pattern does change up. as we go into tomorrow, back into the upper 70s and humid. then looks like warmer air will move in wednesday and thursday, that will push us back in the mid and upper 80s as we kick off the big lacrosse championships next weekend

looks like chance of a shower saturday and improving weather saturday into sunday as we clear out and see temperatures back around 80. >> thank you. a new trend on college campuses raising concerns from consumer groups. schools making it more convenient for students to manage their money. but our consumer reporter john matarese shows us why some people don't think it's a great idea. >> reporter: remember when a student id card was a student id card. now more and more schools are turning them into bank cards with visa and mastercard logos. if you or your college student is offered this option should you say yes? college id cards allow students to get around campus, access buildings and buy meals. but more and more universities are turning their id cards into bank debit cards. that can be used at stores and atms anywhere. students though tell us they have mixed feelings about mixing banking and their id card. >> sounds like people are going to lose a lot of money.

>> i have enough trouble keeping track of my other id cards so i probably wouldn't use it as a debit card ever. >> reporter: a consumer group says it's a gateway for banks to market other products to students but administrators say the fears are unfounded saying the cards are safer than most debit cards because they include a photo. in addition a student can spend only the amount that is in their account. >> we're not allowing the credit function on the card. it's strictly an atm or debit card. >> reporter: there's no risk of someone running up $10,000 in charges? >> correct. >> reporter: for many students the convenience will likely outweigh the controversy. >> do lawnry in the -- laundry in the storms. i use it for food late at night. >> reporter: why are so many schools now offering this option? "usa today" says it's simple. the deals can generate up to $1 million a year for large universities and with states and endowments cutting funding
