>> reporter: sit called operation flick earn, the child porn ring spans the global but ties to a handful of suspects here in baltimore. how authorities tracked down thousands of buyers attached to more than 200 porn websites and traced a handful of them back to our area. it's all part of an effort been going on a few years. no one has pulled back the curtain on operation flicker but we're exposing the details on this bust, the people caught buying in it and the graphic images they were hiding behind closed doors. >> you certainly can't put the images on the 6:00 news and can't describe it in the newspaper. what is in these pictures, little boys and girls being violently and painfully abused in order to produce these pictures, and these videos. is. >> reporter: tonight at 11:00 we'll tell you more about the seven local men nabbed in this international investigation and we'll give you the shocking details on the video and images they were buying online. joce sterman, abc 2 news.

a buoy man dies outside a restaurant, 47-year-old jeffrey fitzgerald was at coconut joe's restaurant when he fell off a pier early this morning. the dive team discovered his body in the water under the pier about an hour later, foul play is not suspected here. well not a bad looking day out there. high temperatures, generally running around 77, 78 degrees. and a little breezy at times. but on the whole, good looking day. let's take a look at some of those high temperatures across the area. 76 downtown is where we are now. we were just a couple degrees warmer than that a few hours ago. frederick 77 after hitting 80 earlier today. winds generally out of the north northwest around 5 to 10 now but again gust to go 20, 25 earlier, it was windier earlier, and up and down the east coast we're talking about a crystal clear weather scenario. for now. here is the rest of the evening. down into the 60s, mostly clear skies, a gorgeous outlook rest of the night.

later this week what a change as we go toward the first days of fall. and not a change for the cooler. we'll profile that straight ahead. rosy? >> prince george's county and college park lows are telling students to be a little more vigilant after a rash of muggings and running back reese. the most recent attack happened over the weekend along the route 1 corridor, most of the targets have been students, the man robbed on saturday was not. an update now on the doctor ho was shot last week by the son of an elderly patient in johns hopkins hospital. the hospital spokesman says dr. david cohen is in good condition after being shot in the abdomen thursday morning. the gunman, paul warren par advertise, became distraught after cohen delivered news of his mother's condition. after shooting the doctor he shot and killed his mother and then himself. nearly a full city block in towson is on the auction block. the towson commons development south of the circle will be auctioned off to the highest bidder tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. on the county courthouse stems. the most retail spots in the
