harford county police to the scene. >> we had a school bus with six children and a driver. an suv and a passenger vehicle. the driver of the suv was transported to shock trauma with injuries and he was taken by ground. the children and the bus driver were transported to a local hospital with minor juice and released to the custody of their parents. >> reporter: it appears the kids from meadowvale elementary walked away with bumps and bruises. >> it was scary knowing these kids are not seat belted on buses. being the way it is on its side. the kids on one side of the bus fell over to the other. that's a huge concern. >> reporter: investigators believe the westbound audi

crashed into it and crashed into the blazer. the school bus driver also suffered a broken leg in that accident. jeff hager abc 2 news. these are pictures from portland, oregon from yesterday where a school bus crash injured a 10-year-old burl girl. the car crashed into the bus. the girl hit her head on the bus seat and take ton the hospital. these other students in the bus along with the driver are all o.k.. according to the national highway administration since 19981450 school children have died. more than two-thirds were killed by school buses. more school age pedestrians are killed in school bus related crashes between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.. investigators say the front of the bus was the main point of impact in about half of the

democratic states like massachusetts and new jersey. o'malley's campaign is firing back. it is expected and to expect more as the election approaches and the race tightens. >> now you are advertising the reasons why people need to vote for you or against the other fellow. and it seems with great frequency we're having ads why you need to voteness the other fellow. >> reporter: smith says even though voters don't like these negative ads they do work. both parties have plenty at stake here in maryland. brian kuebler. politics seem tame 50 years ago some day will mark the 50th anniversary of the first televised presidential debate. 70million people watched that debate. they say nixon won the debate.

tonight it is all about raising money for a teenager that is wounded in a bombing attack. in less than 90 minutes a concert will get under way for emily kursteda. emily's boyfriend has arranged the concert. it will be held at our lady of perpetual health. the money raised will go to pay for emily's medical bills. tickets are $10 per person. there will be music and drinks. eddie fisher has died. fisher died wednesday at his home in berkeley from complications from hip surgery. he was 86 years old. although he had a shucksesful career he will be best known for his celebrity marriages. he married debbie reynolds she

midwest. look at this mess. this is what it looked like outside of minneapolis. a lingering storm system dumping as much a half a foot of rain across southern minnesota and western wisconsin. flooding as forced hundreds of people to evacuate their homes. bits shut down and schools canceling classes there. the forecast calls for dry conditions throughout the rest of the night tonight. soothe storm due in there -- another storm due in there tomorrow. all new at 5:00 maryland and the federal government are making sure the chesapeake bay is protected more. five other states including delaware and pennsylvania still have problems when it comes to stopping pollution. now the epa says it plans to tighten permits for pollution problems such as waste water treatment plants, storm water systems, scene animal feeding operations. well raven fans are hoping the wait will be worth it.

yeah the second full day of fall kelly feeling like anything but. bottom line it's a summer night like friday night across the harbor and across the state. 94 right now. it feels hotter than that with the heat index pushing 100. winds southwest at 6:00. that's been a warm wind every day. take a look at this. look at that fog kelly. we were socked in early on this morning. that's for sure if this fog hadn't been there we would have heated up more rapidly. hot and sunny through the day. hazy conditions we will say. as we look at some of the highs locally neighborhood by neighborhood. mid to upper 90s by the story. frederick to 100. back across the eastern show low 90s. most of the rest of the state unless you are on the extreme east or west you are well into the mid 90s today. winds a little gusty out of the south through that today. our satellite is all clear for

the moment. we have a front on the march normally we might expect showers and storms out of it. it doesn't look like the setup will lend itself to that. right now the front generating a thin line of showers out through ohio become through kentucky as this thing marchs further east we will see that moisture and punch. we will get the cool down behind it and get to push this hot pattern out to sea. but as it happens we will not see anymore rain. just an isolated shower. our future cast model keeping us nice and dry into the day. sunday as well another shot of cooler air. another boundary. that will drop us into the low 70s for a high and the chance for showers will be there. sunday night and into next week. also a one moisture source could end being a tropical storm matthew being a hurricane and getting weaponed up into

bob ehrlich pretends to be for the working guy... but he's not on our side. i thought i knew bob ehrlich, but then i found out... he raised property taxes on every maryland family... and business. he increased college tuition... by 40%. 40%. and i thought i knew bob ehrlich. he was against raising the minimum wage. made $2.5 million... working for a lobbying firm. $2.5 million? he's not really on my side. with this tough economy, we really need a governor on our side.
