beach. closer to home we're going to show you downtown baltimore. storm system could ahead of nicole be bringing heavy rain our way late tonight. wyatt everhart is in the weather center tracking the storm. wyatt what's on u, xtap? >> well, kelly the bottom line light showers out there now as we go into the overnight period heavy rain begins to move out of the south. the middle part of the afternoon tomorrow. we're tracking just light to moderate showers now. this is really just the opening part of this event. and you can see slightly heavier rain south and west $p d. c. right now. but look at these flood watches and advisories all the way across maryland and back down through virginia. also coastal flood advisory and also concern for some hip%íñ winds as this coastal storm moves in. again more heavy rain on the march out of the south right now. the heaviest which is down in north carolina still. this evening scattered showers 2iie

office says the city is aware of of the 5problem. >> there is underground erosion right next to where the dam is. they are worried about long term and breakdown. but be clear there's no imminent threat of a major breakdown right now. understand there's a risk and we're going to be moving later this year on a number of repairs. we have staff here to monitor the water level tat the dam nearby. >> well, the dam as you can see there's cracks in the dam they have been there for quite a while. >> reporter: fred man 'tis and his wife have used the park in the past. he sees that it's time to ñdam. >> since it was built in 1920, you know, it needs repair replacement it's due for that. unsafe.

the city has said they are ready to do work on the dam and the community is hoping that the dam can handle this significant rain don harrison for abc 2 news. the reservoir supplied annapolis with drinking water through the 1940s but is no longer used as a primary water source. a park around the reservoir was closed this year due to budget cuts. cuts. well, tonight en are in jail charged with the murder of jose luis ramirez. monday night police were call report of an injured person. that's when they found ramirez dead alongside the road in cockysville. autopsy revealed he rozhad been killed by blunt force trauma. they are charged with first degree murder and being held at the baltimore county detention center. çtcxthe family of a 13-yea- old girl electrocuted has settled a lawsuit.

deanna green was resting offher foot against a fence and was electrocuted after she reached for a second fence. they repaired several lines in city green's family filed an amended complaint to restart litigation. the family of yardly love has created a foundation in her memory. the university of voila cross player was found beaten to death in her xknyapartment back may. love's former boyfriend is charged with first degree murder. the yardly reynolds love foundation also known as the ÷ to build a pro field at her alma mater. there's also a scholarship in her name. the foundation also plans to help children take part 'cñin programs within their communities. a gunman opened fire outside an omaha hospital woundsing two officers. there was conflicting reports whether the suspect died but police say he's in very éd:&c% critical condition. investigators are looking into whether the gunman may have
