protection fee. for the rural home. it was only when a neighbor field caught on fire that the fire department showed up. a neighbor who paid the county service fee. well, the department responded then and that's when the other family asked can you put out the fire in our house. the chief refused. the family doesn't blame them. >> they are doing their job dhoasm what they are told to do. and it's not their fault. >> the family says she had to pay the fire protection fear in the years past but simply didn't get around to it this year. >> wow. we have a driver in texas trying to wash his car and caught on tape with a meltdown. it started when change machine didn't work. he he gets frustrated with the machine and he first bends the plastic cover and then he starts kick it i heard vending machines are running for cover from this guy. he then goes bay to bay beaing the electronics with the spray gun and kicking them. and the guy caused more than 20,000 dollars in damage.

>> reporter: it's been a long and painful journey for al snyder and he says he is look forward to getting closure for his family and his son and all the other military families out there. it started four years ago when snyder's son marine lance corporal matthew snyder, was killed in iraq. members of the westboro baptist church protested at his funeral holding signs that read god hates you and you are in hell. the founder of the church travels around the country protesting military funerals. he believes soldiers are dying as a punishment for god for depending the nation that accepts homosexuality. after the funeral, snyder sued the church for harassment and a federal judge in baltimore award him $11 million but later in the appeals court ruled the protests were protected by the first amendment. the landmark case pitting free speech against the right to privacy. >> my son died for free speech. he didn't die for someone to abuse and mistreat and spit on the first amendment.

medical senter. >> there's a number of people in this 101 people i filed suit for that left that hospital thinking that they had some kind of serious heart problem when in reality, they had none. there's some people that left the hospital having to take a blood thinner the rest of their life a blood thin they're not without serious side effects like fatigue and joint pain, excessive bleeding. >> each lawsuit will seek at least $10,000 for each stent procedure and potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars more for pain and suffering. the hospital says it is open to discuss any case with the patient and their attorney and it adds a letter sent to the patients warning them up unnecessary procedures is not proof of liability. crime is down in baltimore county. the lowest it's been since 1975. police say the county saw lower crime rates in the first half of this year as well. most significant drop came in the number of murders. murders dropped 44% this year.
