degree murder against gary collins jerome williams and charles mcgain he. the judge told the jurors to try again. they face counts on more than 2 dozen crimes corrected to the robbery and murder at the new haven lounge in september of 2008. we got some good news for maryland schools. the state's graduation rate has gone up and the drop out rate has dropped. school superintendent says results show very few students have been prevented from graduates because of high school assessment requirements. in baltimore nearly 1500 fewer students dropped out of the hs last year than in 2007 cutting the district's drop out rate by more than half in the past three years to just 4%. now the number of city high school students who passed the high school assessment test also increased by more than 500 from last year. well, the controversial plan to bring another wal-mart to baltimore is still not

decided. baltimore city council's land use committee met today. city council president who chairs the land use committee says a vote would likely come in the next three weeks. the 25th street station would bring wal-mart along with a lowe's hardware store. belinda conaway says most people in the neighborhood want the new stores. >> based on the hundreds of postcards that i received from resident there is the area, it's something that they want. there are other folks that would like for us to negotiate to get more, which is something that i would like as well to get more for if workers and residents and we will continue to work on that. >> conaway's whose district include the project site in reg ton says she has been in negotiations with wal-mart officials over worker benefits now for more than a month. maryland's attorney general issues an opinion in

department. this incident really illustrates the difficulty that some small volunteer fire departments have raising money to protect their communities. roosevelt leftwich has reaction from some of our local firefighters. >> reporter: nothing like that would happen around here. none of the local counties have any type of subscription fees, but it does bring out the need for folks to support their local fire services who do a lot with little. it is almost a given on any weekend in any county you will find a volunteer fire company having something at the firehouse it could be a bull roast, bingo, or in western maryland, mud bogging. volunteer companies have this h to be creative in many ways to raise funds and for did reason they have expenses that rival full time departments in big cities. engines about $300,000 apiece. ladder trucks, half a million bucks, and of course buildings and facilities that run in the millions. with limited operating funds from the counties they serve volunteers have to work hard

not only fighting fires doggie manys calls but rainfall money. >> we have a large group of volunteers that want to get out do that, but also the citizens in our communities. not only here in ham stead through all carol county. citizens support us in a lot of different ways, funds raisers but also to come out help with those fundraisers, and this is what it takes to have a volunteer company. >> reporter: some companies struggle, a devastating fire back in february destroyed one of the buildings at the psychville fire department. they have kept serving the public and mane attend their excellent level of service. >> it's a setback in their fundraising that will take them years to recover. but the will always be there to help the public. >> they lost their major funds raising hall because of the snows last year the building collapsed they had a fire and now in the process of rebuilding. without a whole year of fundraising they are going to be behind and they are going to have to reorganize, replan. >> reporter: we also spoke

well, it's a fact, no one wants to get poison ivy. it can be found in many places and is more common than you might think. in tonight's take 5. linda so shows us the surprised most commonplacees poison ivy is found. >> reporter: you don't have to look far to find poison i've he the commonplace to find it in your background. >> you'll find. in hedges groundcovers. poison ivy mimics a lot of other ground covers like ground ivy and looks very similar. >> reporter: be careful in wooded areas. >> if you're hiking or walking, make sure you use precautions and dress appropriately. >> reporter: third, believe it can come up and around trees. >> it can become a very large strong vine that can climb up a tree and form a very thick root system. so be carry full if you're getting any firewood that may have remnants of poison ivy vine on it. >> reporter: fourth, poison

look at harbor cam now. another gray day. broken record right kelly. that's what it feels like the last couple of days constant gray dreary weather. we did stay dry today, slight chance of a shower this evening, but not much of one. and after tonight what a turnaround our weather is going to take. 57 degrees winds west at 8 right now humidity 62%. so weather net camera downtown most of the day we did stay cloudy. but a few blades of sun coming through and at times a little bit of sunshine cascading over the city and over maryland making things feel just a little bit moderate. temps now mid 50s. check out some of the wind gusts today 15 to 20 depending where you're watching. manchester gusted to 20 northeast 16. and over in denton peak wind gust of 19 today. current winds right now not quite as gusty out there. steady at 8 to 10. windy not particularly powerful winds though. tomorrow another breezed day but it's going to be a warmer

winds and under blue skies. i don't think too many complaints tomorrow. upper 50s right now. just way below average. i mean, normally we'd be up in the low 70s still in this part of early october. right now 60 at the inner harbor it's tough to find too many 60s on the map here. most spots in the upper 50s. looking ahead to tomorrow. neighborhood by neighborhood westport down south of the harbor we may make 73 in the city. especially the southern part and over toward forest park northwest side of town 71, 72. sunny skies at times maybe a few clouds passing by but not much. satellite radar picture want to show you the overall system here you can see scattered rain moving in out of the west. this is actually a good thing. because the backside of this system where there is still some rain left is beginning to shift and push out north and east. the whole ball of wax finally beginning to head out to sea and that's going to allow skies to clear up and some more gorgeous sunshine to finally get back into the forecast here. you can see most of the east

treatments. dr. timothy johnson has that story. >> reporter: anorexia strikes adolescent girls in disproportionate numbers, but boys can get it too. it kills about 10% of those who have it. so it may be surprising there have been very few evaluations of effective treatment. a new study compares two different behavioral therapies. adolescent focused individual therapy or afp focuses on the patient's self image and relationship with food. family based treatment or fbt encourage parents to be involved in weight gain and promotes family harmony. 121 adolescent patients were given one or the other treatment for a period of 12 months. full remission rates were equal for both groups. but one year later, patients who had family based treatments were doing better than the individual based group. only 10% of fbt patients will relapse compared to 40% of the
