warm months. linda so is live at police headquarters here this morning where police are working leads but not much to go on. right, linda? >> reporter: yes, detectives have been working the leads and interviewing witnesses but so far no arrests. police do not believe the shootings over the weekend are related, though. violence started on bratly avenue war man was shot and killed. then on saturday night, police found the man's body in an alley on north calvert street. they say that shooting may have happened on shamrock where minutes before, a 22-year-old man was shot. about two hours later, police found a man shot to death inside a home on pressbury street and willy morning, two men -- early sunday morning, two men were shot one died and the other is expected to survive. neighbors say it's a reminder that people need to watch out for each other. >> we it upcally don't have a lot of violent crime here. we do have crime, break-ins and that sort of thing but at the .cally not violent crime.

>> reporter: also investigating the body of a man that was found in a vacant building again police have not made any arrests and are working on motives. live at city police head quart e. linda so abc2 news. >> a kidnapping suspect from georgia is behind bars tonight in our area. maryland state police arrested 30-year-old delvi polancoo. his estranged wife and two young children were in the car she called police saying she was taken against her will. she says she got in the car because she thought they were going to the store, and he began driving back to georgia. and police are continuing their investigation into the fatal stabbing death of an elderly man. authorities say 78-year-old sterling palmer was found friday night inside his home on edison highway in northeast baltimore still no word of a suspect or a motive in this one. and baltimore city police identified a woman who fell down an elevator shaft of a vacant

in the past hour but still well above normal as we should start the days mid-october in the 40s. it is holding tight at 60 in richmond. and 63 up toward the new york. 50s across the interior section. and we have mild air across the region. a boundary that appears to be on the upper levels according to the south has been a flare-up of showers in the southern portion of the chesapeake bay and clouds to the south are part of a boundary that will try to lift up through the regionp upper level winds carry along the conveyor belt and surface winds from the south. we can thank a storm system back across the nation's heartland to pump up the heat and push it down to the north. and this will be the general region. we focus on showers and storms but we push in warmer temperatures and they will help fuel showers. and you can see yesterday's high temperatures while we did make it to 76, widespread mid to upper 80s in the ohio valley. reached 87 in columbus and st. louis and that's a sign of some warm air trying to spill our
