problems this past weekend matt and his vet decide it was time to put her down. >> she is suffering you know. so, i went to see what was wrong with her and jet suggested she be put to sleep. >> reporter: he brought what he thought was the lifeless body to bury her but matt couldn't believe his eyes. >> i came home from work, you know, i was like, she was sitting there you know in front of the bowl of food. i know that when they injected her they injected her twice and she went to -- went to sleep and they gave me blanket and i took her home and i wanted to figure out what to do with her. and the next morning she was wide awake. >> reporter: and now matt is faced with a decision. does he take mia back to the vet and watch his dog go down again. >> what if i buried my dog alive? what if i create mated her she would have -- created she would have been bender alive i explain how do i explain to my kids i got to kill mia twice? i got to kill her again?

this comes off a very violent weekment city. we have had seven murders since friday including one war 78-year-old man was found stabbed to death in his home. now the police commissioner met with his district commanders to assess what's going on. and police do say the violence on weekend is down 16% compared to last year crediting stepped up patrols for relatively peaceful weekends over the past month and a half. >> it's kind of like setting course on a sail right. every so often you run into a squall and have to readjust the shp accordingly. that's what we are doing here today. >> so city police will be stepping up patrols in several areas this week and trying to continue to search for suspects in all the murders. a graduate student is out on bail after being charged with sexually assaulting a female stewed antithe university of maryland college park. police say it happened last week in one of the busiest place on campus right there at the stamp student union. victim says the graduate student identified as adam martinez cruz and he ran his hand under the

take responsibility for the problems she faced over the past couple month. so she is expected in a court of law later this afternoon. state police are searching to arsuspect they say attempted to hold up the same bank not just once, but twice in just over a week. according to police, the man robert madison, or madison square sorry this man robbed the madison square federal savings bank on bel air road on september 30th. he came back on saturday when employees recognized him and locked the doors to the bank lobby. suspect pointed a gun at the employees before running away towards the shopping center and if you have any information, contact police right away. well, it seems more of you are traveling by train. amtrak said fiscal records for both ridership and ticket revenue overall ridership was up almost 6% from last year and ticket revenue rose 9%. amtrak is using the ridership to lobby for many federal funds to update the aging fleet.
