better. >> the current contract runs out at the end of the month they will vote again in 2 weeks. they will ask for another extension if it is voted down again. the latest on the two teens who authorities say beat a classmate at south river high school in edgewater last week. 17-year-old jacob dick and vernon johnson are charged with felony assault and other charges. if convicted in adult court they could face 25 years behind bars. and three teens face assault charges after a fight broke out at a hartford county school. three young girls at edgewood high school attacked two female classmates in a hallway and a pair of teachers were knocked to the ground as they tried to barack up the fight. the fight broke out after a student sprayed chemicals directly into one of the student's faces. >> one of the students threw a

here on abc 2. well, today's students and faculty of students and university are honoring the work of the late professor susan slats are you. she was killed in a crash involving three tractor- trailers and five vehicles back in august. the university school of science is continuing her passion to save the chesapeake bay with a wreath ball project. it will be dumped into the bay next spring the late profess are laboratories with the living class rooms foundation for middle school students. her husband says she was a life force. >> her real passion was middle school students and under served populations introducing them to science and math. >> that was always her passion. she would argue events. unfortunately she didn't get to

see this one, but this is the kind of stuff she did all her life. >> a memorial for her will be held on october 26th at the university. in tonight's consumer alert even flow is recalling child booster seats. they haven't received reports of injuries but the recall came after tests showed that the seats can crack and fail in a simulated 30 miles an hour frontal collision. even flow says it will send notices to registered owners of the seats and the company plans to contribute an easily installed reinforcing bracket that will take care of the problem. the balloon bridge is back open. it was closed earlier today after a pedestrian report had a suspicious package. it turns out it was a flashlight with copper wiring. the bridge was reopened to

vehicles and pedestrians within an hour. the bridge was open in 1883 is undergoing a series of renovation. construction cruise are working on the manhattan and brooklyn end of the bridge. authorities are checking about into a suspicious package found on the campus of georgia tech this morning. the bomb squad is frying to figure out if a white substance seen near the building is dangerous. the building was evacuated though no surrounding streets have been closed. say breezy day of weather, actually pretty windy out there at times today, but hey, the skies have cleared off nicely dry weather again we're setting the stage for a pretty nice weekend. look at the wind gusts last hour it gusted to 25. gusted to 22 and east ton and 22 frederick. temperature wise we're in the low 60s but it feels more like the 50s in many spots because of the windchill factor couple of clouds crossing the state but no rain. we stay drive this evening and breezy.

americans most of them women. patients reports pain and fatigue and they are usually sensitive to simple touch. treatment includes drugs, cher size and counseling, but they are often hit or miss. now a study finds new promise in a very old practice namely yoga. researchers wanted to know if yoga could reduce pain and improve mobility without medication. 25 women went through a yoga program, including light stretching, medication and breathing exercises, along with yoga based advice and group discussion. after 8 weeks women who took part reported less pain and fatigue along with better moods and more effective coping. it should be noted that some women in the group had been taking pain medication. the studies authors don't know if this influenceed the finding but their say the work yoga could bring some leaf to fibromyalgia sufferers. i'm dr. timothy johnson. >> the harper county health
