>> reporter: well, there's something that we do, take out your trash at night. but for a woman it turned into a terrible crime monday night around seven in laurel. a woman was taking her trash to the dumpster when she noticed a man in the bushes and says he started to follow her and he grabbed her and attacked her. officers searched the area for clues and they planned to return to the apartment complex again today to talk to any witnesses that might have been in the area. the neighborhood is located between several jurisdictionss including howard, prince george's county and laurel city. police are trying to figure out if the suspect lives there or drove from one of the main nearby roads. >> there's no reason for someone to be out wandering around in this neighborhood because it's basically not near anything except for sam's or anything you go to sam's you are going and leave. . >> reporter: police ask you call the sex offense unit if you have information. that number is 410-222-3750.
