now "good morning maryland." 6:39. ryan air announced they will introduce child free flights starting in october after a europe wide survey showed that half would pay higher fares to avoid other people's children. the survey showed that a third of passengers had flights ruined by other people's noisy kids with one in five passengers urging the airline to restrict the number of children on flights. the survey found found passengers would -- found passengers would prefer to avoid other children and placed bad behavior with the parents. >> that's a little extreme. chocolate lovers, prepare to pay more for the sweet fix.

we have is the statement from the hall of famer himself. he told us from the hospital yesterday that he is doing fine. his number 5 here at yard a legend and we are hoping he will pull through. the 73-year-old was scheduled for a routine outpatient procedure at gbmc but night before the procedure, he developed a fever and infection. his doctors aggressively treated him and brook says he is responding well. he released a statement saying i am pleased to say i continue to remain cancer free after my successful treatment for prostate cancer in 2009. i ask you give me privacy and i look forward to a full recovery and thank you for your prayers. brooks played for the o's from 1955 to 1977. he was elected to the hall of fame in 83. he made 18 all star teams and won the american league mvp award in 1964. he played all 23 seasons of his major league career in baltimore with the orioles. as the o's get ready to open on the road today, we are saying a prayer for brooks and hoping for a speedy recovery.
