still can't believe is here. you know, you know, for ten years almost, there was the hunt for osama bin laden. many thought that he would never be captured and now he has, and he is dead, people are in disbelief. we talked with a lot of people this morning who you know if they are up at this hour heading to work, they were asleep when the president made ate nounsment that osama bin laden is dead. so there was a lot of surprise. a lot of disbelief and we spoke with a woman who it's to tell her what happened and she really couldn't believe it. she was like what? and then she asked me how do they know for sure. a lot of disbelief and price. -- surprise. another commute we are spoke with who remembers the day when 9/11 happened was supposed to head up to new york for work, but obviously that trip got canceled and he says he is glad that this happened before the

10-year anniversary. and, she says we will keep a close eye on what this means for al-qaeda now and just the -- and how they will work without the leader. but, again, a big day today, and the headline on the baltimore sun reads dead. osama bin laden is dead during a raid in pakistan that happened overnight. we will talk to folks all this morning as they are heading in for work. but again, the overall sense is surprise and relief. that finally osama bin laden is dead. after almost 10 years. live at penn station, linda so, abc2 news. >> 5:48. people all over the country are reacting to the news that osama bin laden is dead. hundreds gathered in washington, d.c. as news of his killing began to spread. among them, a man who lost his son on september 11th due to the attacks. he said that he knew he had to be at the white house. >> i feel that finally some vindication has been done. there's still a lot more to be done, we know that. and the threat is not over.

getting a little bit of a reprieve after a cloudy start and fill in the cloud back in this morning. we have got ourselves a band of rain to the west that will move through the area. a sign and signal of the atmosphere trying to pump in warm air. but that has to come with the price tag of showers this morning. temperatures will warm up as we go through the week and getting our way back up to normal and above normal for two days before we slide back in the other direction for a few days as well. we think the cool weather will win out for the first half of may. on this second day of may, as we look at the normals and records, we want to point out first date on the calendar in baltimore where we have sun set beyond the 8:00 hour. for today, we expect mostly cloudy skies. there will be a chance of showers this morning. and if a few scattered showers this afternoon. maybe a thunderstorm as we will push highs up to about 72. that's near normal and in the 50s overnight. a scattered shower. pumping in warmer temperatures tomorrow ahead of the frontal

bondry a front getting active but like the last front, a slow mover. we are not talking about theextensive widespread severe weather outbreak. this is going to be a heavy rain producer and unfortunately, this on the anniversary of historic floods that took out operaland near nashville tennessee. they are warning people in a 100 year flood plain it's time toget out because they could have extensive flooding. looks like we will have ourselves the showers coming during the morning hours and maybe scattered storms into the afternoon. most being a to the west. the slow moving front is closer and by tomorrow afternoon, we could have scattered showers and storms pumping our temperatures up to near 80. but like we have had most of the spring so far, one or two really warm days. and it erodes away quickly. showers and storms tomorrow night in through wednesday. and that will take you to the other side of the extremes. our weather outlook highlights the fact temperatures go to 806789 scattered showers and
